The punt return game was non existent. Is Stingley the man for the job? Who you want to see?

Someone like Kirklin needs to step up. Quick twitch WR should be the answer.

I’m in favor of an extremely sure handed guy even if that means we don’t break as many long returns. I do think it’s not unreasonable to expect a sure handed guy who can also break one.

Yeah, I hated our lack of an explosive returner.

Way too much skill talent to be so mediocre there. Lots of db speed returning and also coming into the program.

Watched Stingley all year. He is the punt returner next year.
He actually played WR also. Very sure handed and can bring it back at any moment.

The staff has already came out and said Stingley will be returning punts for us next year.

I disagree somewhat, specially given we end up going 3 and out so often any ways.. We need that spark badly.

Look at the UGA SEC championship game.. that truly turned things around for a slumping offense. We literally had no spark in the return game this season whatsoever. That is not who LSU is..

I can remember like one play we got like +12 yards on a return, and that was well-blocked.. most like with a better returner.. it is a TD.

The so called sure handed guy seemed to struggle mightily to even field the ball at times.. and he eventually cost us a game (a&m) IMO.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect both an explosive guy with decent return hands..

Let’s also not forget D.J.’s punt return against Auburn last year. Would way rather have a guy who can break them, then just expect a sure handed guy. Everyone said Giles was so sure handed, and even he muffed that shite against A&M.

TCU can't do jack shite in this bowl game..

Looking like they'd never score.

They just had like a 50+ punt return bc the guy was explosive?? I didn't see the play though. I am asking. They are now about to get back into the game..

Their offense finally got a 1st down after it too.

And now a TD.. Tied game (well depending upon the review..) when it looked like they would never ever score.. the return game provided that spark.

IDK. Giles does make a pretty fair catch.

I haven't even seen Stingley, but if Giles was the best our coaches felt we had this year, I want Stingley without even seeing him. I've heard that Stingley is a phenomenal returner though.

dude, WTF? Please explain how the O going 3&out increases OUR need for a PR? We would be punting to THEIR punt returner, not receiving punts...

You just want to make an obligatory shitty remark about the offense...

While we are at it, can we get some explosive WRs to go along with Jefferson? He is the only one who gets separation!
