LSU junior guard Tim Quarterman will declare for the 2016 NBA draft and hire an agent, league sources told The Vertical. Quarterman, a 6-foot-6 point guard, is expected to sign with professional representation on Monday and forgo his right to return to LSU before the May 25 deadline, sources said. Quarterman, 21, could garner interest in the first round of the draft and is ranked as the No. 7 junior by The Vertical draft insider Jonathan Givony. He averaged 11.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists in 33 games this season. LSU had a disappointing 19-14 season and has lost Ben Simmons and Quarterman to the draft.

He might've helped a little, but I won't miss him.

I wish the guy the best, chose LSU over I would imagine a lot of schools. I hate his career here ended on that note, but whatever we're all in basketball hell with Jones at the helm

I would love to see he and Simmons end up on the same team...

Unfortunately everyone is leaving early except for the one that matters-Johnny Jones. Hopeless.

He should test the waters but hiring an agent is stupid. Throw another tire on the LSU ad dumpster fire

It's possible he works his way into the first with his athletic tests and good workouts
It would also make this year an even bigger joke with potentially three first rounders on the team and no postseason. Johnny
