How does he explain the packed houses at the PMAC for BB during the Dale Brown days when racism was more in vogue at that time then now.............did he miss the presidential election.

Oh ok, I support Brando's reasoning now. No wonder I enjoy football so much. I can't tell the players are black because they have so many pads on. I always thought they just had very tanned arms from doing drills outside and such.

Exactly. Hell Brando knows in his part of Louisiana that besides LSU football LSU fans are starved to get info and be part of the program. A situation that has gotten worse since the Ganett Newpapers keeping cutting their budgets.
I was really shocked since he usualy reasonable. Last time I looked the majority of Female BB players were balck in the SEC but over the years they have been gaining attendance.
What about Track and Field which is a niche sport and I think is vey black but they get great crowds. I mean his logic can be attacked on different angles

I case you don't know it...Tim Brando is a Shock Jock...He will say anything to get a reaction. He used to have a local radio show several years ago in Shreveport where he was very anti LSU. Recently while he has been at CBS he has tried to give LSU a few props like he is a big fan or something...I personally can't stand him...

THought 70 perecent of the players on the FootBall team are black they are still perceived as purple and gold and with uniforms plus they are far away they don't have to deal with they are black
That on the basketball court Fans don't have that distance and so they have to deal with their blackness up front
and third while its Basketball season LSU fans are way more excited about Baseball Sesaon ( a more white team which was implied)
He basically called out all the SEC with some exceptions. Pretty incredible

he can speak his mind but his reasoning is wacked. I mean is the reason LSU fans don't pack the Golf course to watch the Golf team because LSU fans hate children that might be of the more upper class? Why are more LSU fans not packing the pool watching the LSU swim team? THey hate white guys in speedos?
I know LSU Basketball is a tad different but when you look at other schools DIV 1 or not their attendance is footabll not basketball and it takes more marketing to get those games filled and also takes success. It is not race

Some of our most popular athletes in our history are black. If LSU fans were truly racist, then would they have cheered for:
Shaq
Kevin Faulk
Rudy Macklin
Chris Jackson
Josh Reed
Jamarcus Russell
and many others?
But those are superstars... we would love them anyway, right? Well, what about LSU players who aren't necessarily superstars, but are still tremendously popular... even though they're the "wrong" color?
