No.
No.
No.
Too many obvious coaching issues. More of a good man than coach.
A very good person.
That's what bought him time, till seasons end.
Good luck JJ , wherever you are!

He's just one of Johnny's boys. Notice how these guys aren't as kind to coaches that are not from LA.

He needed help from someone. Jones appeared to be a good man, but he was unable to see his players telegraph passes, dribble into double teams & all the inept stuff that his players continued to do.

Well, isn't it his job to get the best recruits here? Maybe he's not the best recruiter, but even the best coach can't win without talent. Having said that, I don't think he is a very good coach on top of not getting good players.

This year, losing Victor hurt and the lack of post play was clearly evident. Jones should have recruited to that void and he didn't.

How the hell do you recruit to a void that you didn't have until a kid got stupid and had to be let go?

How many teams have 3-4 post players good enough to put a lot of minutes in?

Jones was a control freak who wouldn't let his Asst's help him do his job.
. That's funny. While it may be true he doesn't look to be someone who had control over much of anything on the sidelines. He never looked like he cared a whole lot.

This....I think it's fair to say if one begins with the premise that talent is an issue, then does the team do the things that do not require talent well? I think the eye test tells us no in LSU's case...thus you have a team with mediocre talent that underachieves. And you end up 2-17 in a largely mediocre basketball conference.

Losing Victor ? He (JJ) ran him off the team . Maybe he didn't realize what would happen to our post play after Victor getting the boot. Next stop Montana A&M.

Did he? If the rumors are true it was failing drug tests that's University policy and he's gone whether CJJ wants him gone or not.
