Which game were you watching?

there's really no reason to take chances with a QB like Lee

What more does Lee need to do to cast this stigma off for good? It's not 2008 anymore. Lee is a good QB, at least for how our team is built.

It worked and they won a road SEC game against a ranked team.

I know. It was a good performance that every Tiger fan should be pleased with.

But we're not the #1 team in the country if we don't do a lot more on offense going forward. I'm not saying I don't think we'll score more points in other games, just that I wouldn't use last night as a springboard to vote LSU #1. If anything, it wasn't as impressive as the Oregon game and we didn't jump anyone then, did we?

We'll jump to 2 if FSU wins. That's it.

What did Lee do last night to warrant "not taking chances?" That poor bastard is still paying for the sins of 2008.

Also, I'd argue with a D like LSU's, why not take a few more chances? If you make a mistake, then presumably the the D will bail you out (i.e. failed onsides kick). If you hit on a few big plays early, then you can take a team out the game in a hurry with your defense.

Because the teams ahead of us didn't lose.

If Oklahoma loses, we'll jump to #1. With Bama's QB situation and with Lee being able to lead the offense efficiently, there's no reason we shouldn't get #1 if Oklahoma loses.

What happened to OU's offense in 2003 and OSU's offense in 2007? Our offense is doing just fine to win a championship.

does it really matter only 3 weeks into the season?!?

We play # 18 WV next week and a ranked FL or TN depending on how that game goes, then #2 Bama, just keep winning....

If Florida State wins and jumps us, I'm going to flip my shite. Smoke #3 on the road and go on road to handle #25, mixed in with a cupcake beatdown >>>> what any other team has done so far. I don't like the #1 jinx either, but come the frick on.

Nothing, but I think the coaches know who he is, and they know what they need from him to win.

No, it doesn't matter. That doesn't mean it can't be discussed, either.

This is the exact bullshite I'm talking about. So who is he?

Seems the couches think he is a QB capable of executing a play action from inside his 5 yard line. Again, it's not 2008.

Not trying to knock Lee at all. I'm a fan of his. And I think the way they are using him is perfect. He's been super accurate on the short passes. there were a few times in the game where he dropped back and I thought for sure he was going to go deep, but ended up with a short/medium pass. Maybe the deep shots just weren't there?

I only want the #1 status in January! Until then, we need to put W's in the end column!

How deep are you looking for exactly? There were numerous passes over 15 yards.

I guess I'm just quantifying them differently. Those were medium passes in my book. Deep shots would be 30+ down field.
