Thanks so much for posting that. I was 11 at the time and still recall it. Bert was THE reason I wore #7 in High School. That is some golden video right there.

Great Stuff

Brings back great memories.

The stars were shining that night.

Casanova, Capone and Hamilton all had a great game.

I will never forget this game. My first ever in Tiger stadium. I was just 10 years old and seconds before ND kicked off a fan ran on the field and stuck a small black skull and cross bone flag right in front of the ball on the tee and chunked a tiger striped hat he was wearing up in the air. It was the loudest I have ever heard TS the others were Earthquake game, USC 79, Georgia 03 and Florida 07. Got brainwashed on Tiger football ever since.

Give it up to Big Red, TIGER BAIT, TIGER BAIT, TIGER BAIT.......

thanks for posting. That was about three years before I was born, but I've heard a lot of the stories about those guys.

Thanks for posting this - was nine at the time and went to the game with my parents. Both are gone now - good memories of fun times with them.

That was my 21st birthday
I still have the back of Bert's jersey from that game. It was the only time that I stormed the field" after a game.

Oh - do I remember. Was the same night as a first date with the woman who would later marry me. Three grown kids and 40 year later - I still remember.

That was a lot of white dudes! I started following LSU when I moved to Louisiana in '81 at the age of 11. It's amazing what a difference 10 years can make.

Regardless, looked like an awesome game...
