Coupled with the fact that the gators and 8&4 will make the LSU game their Superbowl

We'll be Georgia State's Superbowl too.

Guess what: won't matter.

Tigers finish 7 and 5: Change my mind
“Nothing on offense” seems a little harsh. That catch by Nabors on the sideline was epic. By the way, very small point but I was impressed at how upset Nabors got when he dropped Nuss’ 4th down throw. Depressing to think we can now start questioning desire / who will opt out of bowl game etc. guess we will find out what kind of leaders we have

Okay, that was weak. Point you.

Come on even if you hate both of those remaining SEC teams there is no way you can legitimately say GAState is on the same level of ability to come away with a win. No way.

I don't think the scoreboard goes into the hundreds let alone the billions.

Why is it UF superbowl?

I'd like to think we'll make it a good game because we still need a 6th win for a bowl game and not one single player on our team now has ever beaten LSU.

The Gators are IMO going to be playing out of their mind grasping for ANYTHING positive to finish the season. Am I missing anything?

Possibly and I get why you would think that but think also that our guys might feel they have something to prove as well.

This team is simply better, IMO, than Florida, not that Florida is as bad as their record may indicate.

aTm is a bit more concerning to me but I want to see where they are when we play them before generating any sort of expectation.

From the LSU FAN perspective...

FIFY.

Posts like this help you to know who is/ was an athlete and a competitor and who isn't/ wasn't.

Understand, mon frere, the athletes are not fans who are keenly aware that their expectations of championship glory have been dashed and thus abandon all effort. At the D1 Power 5 level of competition, these guys live, eat, breathe, and sleep football. Elite athletes do not mail it in just because a potential championship is off the table.

Did you happen to note the outcome of the Raiders/ Giants game yesterday? Neither team has even a potential sniff of the post season in their future, and the athletes were still out there on the field giving their all. If we follow this logic...why do Vanderbilt and Moo State even field football teams? Why is Auburn even going to show up for the Iron Bowl? Competitors compete, period.

Now, if the team comes out flat and unmotivated against the Gators, that's on the coaching staff, not the athletes. Even in the face of such an obvious defensive scheme gaffe of not adjusting to put a spy on Milroe, I'm relatively confident that this staff will have the Tigers prepared to play Saturday. Whether they win or not may come down to another in-game adjustment - or failure to adjust - but a L won't be because the Tigers have "little to play for."

I doubt that changes your mind, but another 10-win season is a legitimate possibility, as well as another 1st-round drafted QB.

If Matt House is the DC, they could also lose to GSU.

We already know Dumbo Fisher owns house. UF had a great game last year against him too. JD5 beat UF last year.

So, yes, 7-5 is very likely at this time. Maybe even 6-6.

Florida lost at home to Arkansas Saturday, and Texas A&M will either go into Baton Rouge with a very injured Max Johnson or a 3rd String QB.
You should change your title from Tigerinthehood to waaaaaìnthehood

0-3 (pending bowl opponent), Florida is bad away, A&M is down to their third string QB and is bad away.

Both these teams will be playing a historically bad defense though.

I don't see this team losing 2/3 games at Home to finish the season.

LSU melts down for at least one game every year following the Alabama loss. It’s happened time and time again. So yes, out of the remaining three games, Expect at least one loss to an SEC team.

That highlights how mediocre a program LSU has been.

The 4 team playoff era ends this year. LSU won’t make it. They’ve only made it once in the 9 year history. Same as TCU, Washington, Michigan State, and Cincinnati. The NC that year puts LSU ahead of those teams, but there is no consistency. Time to accept LSU is not a consistently elite program. I don’t like Kelly either, but he simply is in line with LSU’s general performance in the CFP era.
