Taking former players out of the portal is one thing, but the NCAA needs to do something if they’re recruiting players currently on any other colleges active roster.

You are crazy if you think Bama wouldn't give him a scholarship. A guy who everyone believes will be a top 10 pick won't be in a dog fight with a freshman for PT.

I don’t know if this is true about Boutte or not but I hope not. There is already far too much evidence of a complete lack of any team mentality in the LSU Program.
There seems like there is a Hell of a lot
of me and not a lot of we with the players. Very little commitment to LSU with some of these players. I can see why Brian Kelly wants his own people.
LSU had a bigger problem with the Football Program than I thought and any player who wants out and not be part of the rebuild then go and do it now.
Brian Kelly is going to have to tear things down and build it back up. That is obvious now. LSU can bring in class of 25 plus 7 from the Portal for a total of 32 players and I bet Kelly does just that.

He WAS the number one receiver before his lower leg and acute ankle sprains. Losing a half year over this leaves big question marks. I can guarantee that Saban will never agree to give him a starting position or even a scholarship.
