LSU should blow it up then and put it out there. If he’s not in the portal and Bama is back channeling or talking to him, that is blatant cheating and would be hard to hide.
And Boutte would ruin the rest of his life and never be welcomed back in the state again. This isn’t the same as committing there out of highschool. He would be intentionally screwing is over and then going to our rival.

A school can not contact a player to recruit them before they are officially in the portal, that is literally the point of the portal, it allows the players to be contacted by other schools.
