I think that looks great.

Damn, you're original...
I bet you would normally have no problem with how the stadium looks. I bet you only have an "opinion" because you've been trolling this site for too damn long.
Get a job and shut the frick up.

I'm having trouble trying to figure the cost of painting a 100,000 seat stadium. I mean...to paint my house alone the paint (no labor) was a lot of money.
A contract like that would be a couple/few million. Plus...it's needs pressure cleaning before it can be painted.

This topic has been discussed a bunch on here but I don't mind the new thread. I'm with Dean and Speedy. We spend a shite ton of money.. why not have the thing match? Same goes for any building on campus that doesn't match the original Mediterranean architecture. I don't care how "nice" it is. Why is this all so hard?

Outside of business. What building in the last 10 years has been constructed without this in mind? Even business has some if the elements.

The 60's and 70's were really bad for LSU architecture. All of those boxy dorms (Blake, Miller, Herget, McVoy) which have not stood the test of time, Lockett Hall, CEBA, and the abortion that is Middleton Library. Even the music building that went up in the 80's (when I was at LSU) is fugly.
But they started getting it right in the 90's and thereafter. Howe-Russell and surrounding areas are great. PFT will be transformed.
And I kinda like the business school. It is weird, but not hideous, and it shows we still have one eye on the future.

TigerDean, do you drive a PINK CADILLAC?

I know, which is why I said in the last 10 years...

I wonder if there needs to be more cure time on the concrete before painting/coating?
I know it's been set for months, but maybe there's still too much moisture content?

FIFY
However, I'm nostalgic when it comes to cheesy art/architecture.

You think the mismatch stucco/concrete looks great?

The Stadium is 90 years old and has been expanded 7 times and it is made of Concrete. No Concrete that old and that many times is going to match. Once you start painting Concrete it is going to cost a lot of money and will be never ending maintenance. If all you got to do in life is worry about Concrete matching then you got a boring life!!

Just doesn't bother me I guess.

Yet LSU did that very thing to the entire north side of the stadium a couple of years ago.
Excuses continues to flow from our fan base. Amazing.

And it took the whole summer to paint it. As someone stated earlier, it will be painted but won't be until next offseason because they don't have enough time.

Has that been confirmed anywhere? If so, I have honestly not seen it

LSU doesn't release press statement about every single fricking thing going on with the contraction.
Hell this thread was started because TigerDean said they were done. You didn't ask for confirmation of that.
