Les Miles in four years has taken the Tigers to two SEC Championship games, two BCS bowls, Four winning seasons, One National Championship.

No college program is going to win the National Championship every year.

Most Tiger fans expectations were way to high for this season. When Les Miles kicked Perriloser off the team (which I support Miles' decision to do that), you should have known it was not going to be a great season.

Let's look on the bright side of things. We will probably finish 8-4, go to a bowl game(you can get just as drunk at the Independence Bowl as any other), alot of young players coming back next year with alot of game time experience and a great list of recruits coming in.

Tiger football is not that bad.

+1

We do need to address the defensive issues.

It is not that we lost the games we lost. It is how we are losing them. Getting blown out is unacceptable. We can deal with a down year because of inexperience at qb, but the defense being horrible is another story.

Absolutely true.

But I don't want to relax... so I won't.

It's not the fact that we are losing, but the fact that our players are playing like shite! We have been man handled in every aspect of the game 4 times this year.

Four winning seasons

Take that one out. LSU is at a level where winning seasons are not, and should not, be a "goal."

Also, it's not losing:

Welcome to big time college football its all about what have done for me lately. When you pay someone $3M/year its really not an unfair question. I don't think 9-3 was unrealistic expectations. Yes there were some secondary questions going into the season, but there were no questions about our front 4 has been dominated in big games, and with the exception of the 2nd half at USC they have never really impacted a game like was expected.

Notre Dame, Michigan, Auburn, and Tennessee would agree.

I agree with you.

QB problems this year. WR's are helping out either with all their dropped passes.

D is horrible. No excuse to be last in the SEC!

Miles needs to demote the Co-D Coord back to their orginal positions and bring in a big time D Coord.

Offense should fix itself by next year with a more proven QB.

Here's to 2009!

its the lack of intensity, apparent readiness to play and enthusisasm that is concerning to most fans.
Qb play we pretty much got what we expected this year.
Oline was ok most of the year,...against OM was horrible.
Defense has to be the most dissapointing part of ou team this year.. most beleved they would carry us...boy were we wrong.

I agree with all the comments made to my origianl post. The first thing we need is a DC, not two, ONE and one with some energy. When Bo was here he was visible on the sideline pumping up his players when they made good plays and on their arse when they did not. Did not see any of that this season.

I was just trying to say it could be worse, alot worse (Hallman, Dinardo).

Whenever I need to relax I just sing this Song:
"The Bare Necessities"
Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
Old Mother Nature's recipes
That brings the bare necessities of life

Wherever I wander, wherever I roam
I couldn't be fonder of my big home
The bees are buzzin' in the tree
To make some honey just for me
When you look under the rocks and plants
And take a glance at the fancy ants
Then maybe try a few

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

Look for the bare necessities
The simple bare necessities
Forget about your worries and your strife
I mean the bare necessities
That's why a bear can rest at ease
With just the bare necessities of life

Now when you pick a pawpaw
Or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw
Next time beware
Don't pick the prickly pear by the paw
When you pick a pear
Try to use the claw
But you don't need to use the claw
When you pick a pear of the big pawpaw
Have I given you a clue ?

The bare necessities of life will come to you
They'll come to you!

So just try and relax, yeah cool it
Fall apart in my backyard
'Cause let me tell you something little britches
If you act like that bee acts, uh uh
You're working too hard

And don't spend your time lookin' around
For something you want that can't be found
When you find out you can live without it
And go along not thinkin' about it
I'll tell you something true

The bare necessities of life will come to you

I feel much better now, GO TIGERS

Tell you what - I remember when we played Arkansas one year in TS, and we were like maybe 2-8 going into that game. I would have loved for us to be 7-4, as we are now. My brother and I got two tix to that game, on campus, sat on the 20 yd line, and paid $10 each for our tix. BTW, we won the game, with an interim caoch - can't recall his name - only coached that one game.

Let's get a grip.

No, I won't relax.

We have lost 4 game this year. This does not include a miracle comeback against Troy.

Of these 4 losses, 3 have been blowouts. Unlike Florida last year, which lost close games, we have been getting dominated on all fronts.

And the scary part?

We're regressing. There is ZERO improvement with this team. The same defensive issues that Miles said will "get fixed" after the Florida game are still occurring.
