You cannot make these apples and oranges comparisons.
Daniels lost to FSU.
Both of those guys had different issues to deal with. Burrow had a spring and summer.
Daniels had a fall, spring and summer to play.
Daniels had a summer and fall with his LSU teammates.
Yall act like Daniels was a world beater. He wasn’t at all. Just sat there holding onto the ball scared shite less to throw into coverage for a season and 2 games.

You have consistently reminded me of that poster who slobbered on Nuss's nuts post after post while taking shots as Daniels for no damn reason. You act like you're Leavitt's fricking family. The kid has been arse as a passer, it is what it is. Burrow actually had a legit reason why he was like that. Hell even Daniels had plenty reasons considering all the BS with coaches and both of his grandparents dying in the same year and covid destroying his 2nd year.

Daniels didn't lose the game vs FSU. Actually he was literally the only reason LSU was in that game at the final moment. Snaps over the head all game, muffled punts, missing blocks on FG kicks, etc, etc, etc. Two true freshman OT getting rinsed all game. People talk about Sam's OL like Daniels different have a shite sandwich OL to start out with.

And when Daniels played bad, Nuss did get a shot. He looked just as bad vs Auburn.

Daniels had a 3 game stretch where he ripped open the a-hole of the defense which gave us the SEC West title. Giving up 274 rush yards (including 200 to a RB coming off injury), is why we didn't finish with 11 wins. That LSU team in 2022 could have easily been 11-1 with better play by other players not named Daniels.


With all that said, i don't think Leavitt should be benched unless he starts the first half terrible vs TAMU. We can't afford it this year. They put a ridiculous amount of money in for this roster. Losing 3-4 games is not going to hype up big donors to keep paying up.

These comparisons are so dumb..... why don't you just pull Bert Jones stats also... Joe Burrow's 1st year is vastly different than Sam Leavitt's first year for numerous reasons.... Lane is supposed to be a QB whisperer, Burrow had not started a game since HS and his OC was Ensminger (Brady wasn't even here yet)... the transfer portal was not nearly the same, had to be a grad or sit out a year...Leavitt and Kiffin got paid to produce now.. Ed O and Ensminger got lucky and hit the lottery, no top QB transfer would have ever chosen LSU in 2018... so it is apples to oranges
