Absolutely

But, kicking them off the team is an even more ridiculous move. Thank God you're not the coach. In fact, I hope that you're not one and never will be one.

Sounds like kids being kids....IMO

Honestly, that is the exact attitude that has our program where it is at the moment and created the mess that Wade inherited.

Is what these kids did a heinous crime? No. But is this how you want the program to be represented? By a bunch of kids doing dumb shite? Make a list of the perennial winning programs. Places like Duke, Kentucky, Gonzaga, Villanova, just to name a few. How often do their kids get caught doing something this idiotic? I want a program where I don't have to see this shite and say "Oh well!!! At least it wasn't a felony!! LULZ!!"

As others have said, I trust Wade to do the right thing. I don't think the kids should be hung in the town square, but they should be made to run til they puke their innards out....and if they then decide to continue as positive members of this team, then God bless them.

I agree they shouldn't be kicked off the team or out of school, but an arrest and some kind of mild punishment like community service is definitely reasonable.

Paint guns can do damage.

Also shows two undeniable flaws, bad judgment and lack of empathy for others. They are of the age of reason and their values and moral code are already in place.

I would imagine some of the players at all of those schools have done similar dumb things. We just don't hear about it much because (a) it's not the local school and (b) basketball isn't popular enough here for the fans to really care about what goes on at other schools.

Rasheed Sulaimon at Duke was charged with sexually assaulting a female in 2013 and was kicked off the team. There were other Duke players who took cash from boosters,

Derek Willis at UK was arrested for public intoxication a few years back.

Gonzaga had two players arrested in 2007 with weed and mushrooms. Another player was arrested last year for DWI.

That's not to say the LSU players shouldn't be punished, but college kids, especially college athletes doing dumb shite isn't anything new. What's new is that information getting out. If we had the internet, social media, 24 hour news in the 50', 60's, 70's etc, people would be appalled at some of the stupid things players were doing then.

Wade will handle it and it will be a teaching moment for the players OR they'll go so somewhere else to play.

Yeah it's pretty arrogant and obnoxious

Not cool at all. Especially random people. I didn't read the info though so I have no idea. They should go shoot each other with paintballs if they want.

Pussified nation.

We used to load our snowballs with rocks. What about dirt clod fights?

I can remember hiding in the ditch and throwing pine cones at passing cars in my neighborhood. Of course I was 10.

To me this ain't nearly as serious as some of the things our football players have done and never missed a play of a game.

But it still is significant enough to warrant punishment and accountability is a must IMHO. I think Wade will address it accordingly.

I think people ought to have the ability to walk around in public without being shot with anything. As others have said, paintballs hurt. They can also cause injury depending on where you are shot. It's one thing if you choose to suit up and play paintball with other people. To the guy above, I'm sure you loved getting hit in the head or anywhere with a rock. Imagine how you would feel if it was a complete stranger hitting you with a rock, or hitting a female family member with one. Somehow I doubt you would be cool with that.

Definitely can't afford to lose Kiir. Dumbass kids
It's a little concerning that Kiir just got on campus and he is already in trouble along with 2 other players.

Probably need to worry about Galen too.
