white behind crews, I botched that,

I know it goes against rationale but I like Morgan between Crews and White.

Too many strike outs (I know, I know, the walks and HBP and OBP).

If you know he is second on the team in OBP (excluding Travinski’s smaller sample size), why does it matter how he makes his outs? I keep seeing people make comments about his strikeouts, but I really don’t understand the logic. A K or a fly out with the bases empty has the same effect.

How could I find Dugas’ stats in sec play and over the last 3 weeks? Is there a website where you can play with stats in that way?

Here are conference stats. You can get game-by-game stats on the LSU sports website by clicking on Dugas’ bio on the Roster link then selecting the Stats tab, but you’d have to compile the last three weeks.

Our best hitting lineup previously forced Morgan to be in LF. Now our best hitting lineup may see him back at 1B.

Johnson had that lineup yesterday and chose to keep Morgan in LF. That suggests he values OF defense over 1B. I honestly thought he would move Morgan back too.

would like to see Jones in the lineup tomorrow at DH dude needs to get back out there and figure out his swing to good of a freshman year to give up on him now

I completely agree, especially with a LH starting pitcher and Beloso not hitting much better in conference of late. He’s doing a little better this weekend at 2/6 with 2 BB, but he was 1/9 against MSU, 1/9 against Auburn and 1/11 against Alabama before that.

I don't like Travinski batting clean up

True. Valid point.

Johnson very obviously made it a point to go right/left with the lineup. Of the right handers available after Crews and White (who he wanted batting 1-2) Travinski was the obvious choice.

Meh, sec crown isnt that important. Never has been to lsu fans

That’s just something people say when they don’t win to help deal with it. You play to win championships. This is the first one of the year and the players want it

Had this exact discussion last night. I like it.

I am not crazy about Beloso at first but want him hitting.

It is also interesting that Kling has seen so little pt since his injury. Joubert has had some clutch dingers so seems like just a tough coaches decision.

I would bench Beloso, move Travinski to 1B, put Morgan in the outfield and Jobert at DH, and play Milazzo. That would get a left hander out of the lineup against their LHP. I would flip Thompson and Jobert to separate the LH batters and I would insert Milazzo at 9. When we knock their lefty from the lineup I would put Beloso at 1B and Travinski at C.

I've been saying this all along. Why is the most powerful bat not playing? This team has stalled since Bear has been sidelined. Not the same team as earlier this season.
