Thoughts on RGIII broadcast?

I actually enjoyed him yesterday.
Is he settling into a comfort zone and hitting his stride or did he butter me up by pumping JD5?
Was a little silly at times, but not over the top. Provides solid analysis and called out proper football techniques.
What did you think?

Agreed better than expected, as my memory tells me he was not very good last time I watched and it was not too long ago. It didn’t hurt him being a JD5 fan ha.

He's enthusiastic and knows what he's talking about but sometimes goofy to the point of being distracting.

I agree. I think there was already quite the jump from earlier games this season.

I like RGIII, yeah he's goofy but I don't listen to every word from commentators.

Some was entertaining and some sounded like he was on meth.

Back in the old days of MNF with Howard Cosell, my dad and uncle would turn off the sound and just watch the game. I still do this today.

It was great listening to a broadcaster talking positively about LSU. I'm sick and tired of them always talking about the other team the whole game. That being said, he is not a top level broadcaster.

I think improvement from him this year has been remarkable.
Even the other commentator in the booth yesterday remarked on it too -- said something like "I think you've figured this TV thing out."
And I think he really likes doing LSU games, too - he's covered several of their games, knows alot about the team now.

I was expecting it to be much worse. I thought he did fine. He no doubt has improved

He should not be eating a greasy piece of turkey while wearing a nice suit. Heck, at least take your suit coat off.

I made the comment to my son during the game that he was doing a good job. I think he was trying to hard earlier in the season too. He'll continue to improve.
