Should Les have challenged the ruling on Murphy's fumble in the 2nd quarter? It looked closure than the one Butch challenged and lost in the first quarter.

I think the real question is should Murphy touch the field in any meaningful situation? And we got our answer last night.

I thought all plays were reviewed?

Coaches don't challenge....or am I incorrect here?

Actually, it wasn't a fumble. It was caused by the ground on the replay. I guess they thought the game was inhand. Thats what we have as a coaching staff. No killer instinct!!!

Ground forced the fumble, I thought it would get challenged and overturned. I was ticked when there wasn't a review.

Let's try using him in the slot as a receiver, as a back up slot back. Maybe he can do something in space. He cannot run inside. He goes down like a sack of potatoes.

He had one carry I think last night. Sort of a small sample space to be looking at

I hate Ridley getting that many touches. What did he do last night besides fumble? I thought Murphy deserved a lot more touches than the converted FB who can't hold the ball. Murphy didn't even truely fumble. It was a bad call.

I agree CT - his forearm and elbow hit jarring the ball loose. It was a very poor decision not
forcing the challenge review. At the very least, Chavous could have gathered the D to fire somebody up during the down time.
I can't understand the hostility toward Murphy, Dan. If you guys will recall, he lit up the spring game two yrs ago. I hope he gets on the field and, after Ridley's late game fumble when circumstances dictated that the ball had to be taken care of, I hope this coaching staff will give Richard the opprtunity to carry the rock.

it looked as though the ground caused it from what I could teld, and I replayed it about 5 times... it was at the very least worthy of a challenge

i thought the ground caused the fumlbe, it's the replay booths job to review the play. they did it when ridley fumbled on the unc 12 yrd line. i was wondering why they didn't do the same thing last night.

Fail ... it was at least close enough to justify a review. I was pissed when Miles didn't call a timeout to challenge.

I love it when people like Dunbarton Tiger put a lot of thought into their responses.

i was screaming for him to replay it. and for those who say he succked. he ran the ball twice. thats nowhere near enough carries to say he nneds to sit out. now i say ford and murphy should split the carries and ridley to be the third down back
