I really thought one of the stipulations for miles returning would be to go out and hire an OC and get out of the way similar to Oklahoma. Then I remembered who les really is. I can't believe he has the stones to want Cam back and say publicly there won't be many changes to the offense next year. I think there's no way it will work and I hope I'm completely wrong...

Has Les ever announced something like this before the bowl? Without being forced too.

Think about it: if Les really thinks that his job is on the line this season, and the root cause of his team's problems is with offensive balance, do you think he'd put his future in the hands of a stranger who he'd have to figure out how to work with in one season or does he keep his long-time friend in place and give him a chance to right the ship?

Besides, no OC worth a damn is going to come here after what almost happened with Miles (i.e., could be "one and done").

Thats the problem. The people in charge had no plan.

If I were Miles I'd just keep the staff as is and just make adjustment. Sit every coach down and say, we are all coaching for our jobs.

There were no stipulations made since plan A to hire Jimbo was a sealed deal until King came in at the very last minute and stopped it. No one, including Miles, believed he would be coaching a game after the aTm horn sounded.

When you are all set to announce Jimbo on Sunday morning why would you set stipulations? King screwed this up so bad that the LSU admin and TAF never had time to implement plan B.

Cam/Miles were learning on the fly this past season but Harris kind of put a hitch in the plan. Give Harris a chance to come around a little bit next season and Cam/Miles will be able to develop the offense into something. It's never going to be a great offense system under Cam/Miles but they are working in the right direction to make it into something that isn't an embarrassment. But a lot of what they will be able to accomplish, and even their future of coaching at LSU, rides on the arm and brains of Harris. If Harris can't hit even the shortest and simplist of routes then Miles tenure may not be for long.

2013 was one of the best offenses in school history. That was a Cam/Miles offense.

That's the key, Les getting out of the way. He won't, so it doesn't matter.

You know Les and Cam are old friends, right?

Cam is godfather to Manny Miles.

Les is not going to fire Cam. The only way Cam leaves is if Miles is fired or Cam takes another job.

Alleva is stalling but Cam is going to get another year. It's going to happen. It is what it is.

They will go down with the ship together if the ship goes down.

2013 happened because of mettenberger, Landry, Beckham, hill etc. that offense is gone.

You pay a coach over 4 million a year and you let him choose his own assistants, Cameron should get a 1 year extension with no raise.

If Miles again obtains mediocrity you don't want him blaming his lack of control.

The defense isn't that much better either. Next year if we can't put up 40/gm it's going to get ugly really early
