Bj- is young and doesn't set the edge well. He is a hell of a pass rusher

Anthony- is playing well against the run and pass I hope he comes back next year

Gaye- is playing well sometimes gets up field to much

Farrell/Logan are non existent at the dt spot looks like there both out of shape.

Roy- just needs a offseason in the gym and is our best Dt so far

We should of kept Apu I don't understand letting him go

We need some stud Dt in this class

They are what they’ve almost always been.

Coming into this season they had a combined 4 sacks in SEC play in 3 seasons.

Idk why we would expect too much more.

Apu was pushing the pocket against USC and they put him on the bench

I get Ika isn’t an ideal fit but he at least can push the line and moves better than Logan.

I thought the defensive play was adequate up until Sting got hurt and the secondary collapsed. That was awful looking.

Hey, LSU won. Wasn't a pretty win......but a win.

Farrell/Logan

Both solid interior defensive linemen. Logan is a little stronger, and he will definitely stick in the NFL. Farrell is not as stout, but he has a great motor and is good in pursuit and laterally.

Those aren’t great numbers, but you don’t really expect 3-4 D Linemen to be stat stuffers. Both were recruited to play that role. They are there to do the dirty work.

Asking them to move to playing 4-3 where a lot more gets asked of you without a real off-season to work on getting their bodies in different condition is not realistic. Even if they trimmed down, they probably still aren’t suited to the position.

Totally agree

Disagree a little here. They had outgrown being 3-4 DEs imo and losing just a little weight would have made them perfect for 4-3 DTs. Which, although more may be asked of them, would also come with the glory of more sacks and TFLs. In their money years, you’d think they’d have the motivation to come in in great shape, even with the COVID distractions.

I don’t think their fat bodies right now are suited for ANY position, whether it be in a 4-3 or a 3-4.

Roy is going to be good, just young. The other DT’s aren’t getting it done. They are not disciplined at times and give up big run lanes.

Ika left on his own, O has even said he wanted him to stay. He’s a clear 3-4 nose tackle though so I understand why he wanted to find a new team that runs the 3-4.

Roy will be the best but Evans is the best right now. He’s more consistent than Roy

Spot on, ika was our most disruptive lineman in any of the games he got pt... it wasn't even close actually. Everyone else has been non existent.

Farrell got so much love in the preseason on this board..i have no idea where they based this of because hes been invisible in previous years

Logan the same, both have never felt like they amounted to much of anything, i hardly ever hear their names...only reason they are starting is because lsu is very thin upfront

Logan is so fat and sloppy. He has never produced on the field.

Maybe it had something to do with Farrell leading the '19 Dline in total tackles, sacks and tackles for loss. Logan started every game in '19 that he dresses for.

Yes, Anthony's performance vs. the Hogs was one of the best games he has played since he became an LSU Tiger.
