Watched a ton of film last night. Tyrion Davis reminds me of Jeremy Hill. I also came away more impressed by John Emery than Noah Cain. What are y’alls thoughts?

Just 2 of 3 would be great. But I have heard that there have been discussions with all three of them coming to LSU together and that all three have been receptive of the idea. Less wear and tear on the body and wheels for all of them.

INB4 wrong board. But, what is there really to think about? All 3 are great backs to have at LSU if possible. Would probably be the greatest single haul for us for sure. They will be special. Davis is a sleeper due to the fact that he is normally not mentioned as much.

Man, I hope this to be true! These young men would be wise beyond their years, if in fact they do have such an unselfish mentality and understand the wear and tear and injury risk associated with being a "one man show" at RB in the SEC.

Honestly, my thought is that a lot of people seem to be looking ahead to 2019 and it's going to cause more of a rift between fans over O. Depending on how the season goes and how it feeds into the narrative on each side, I just think it's going to add more fuel to the fire.

O fans will say wait until he gets this next class in and really blows up.

People who aren't fans of O are going to say it's always next year and we are going to have more of the same around here.

Eta: I REALLY don't want this to turn into another O debate. We've had enough of those saying the same fricking thing over and over and over.

I think O needs to score 1 out of 2, at least.
Either a good/great season in 2018 or closing with a top 4 class in 2019.
If he underwhelms in both of those categories he should be out.

In reality, it's the same at most programs that are 'trying to get back to _______'. Our fanbase isn't worse than others. Except our fanbase is suffering under the illusion that we took a step back in 2016 when we did several years before that. Hence correlations that aren't accurate are made.

To answer the OP...
Cain is a no-brainer and when put in the context of 3-year recruiting cycles (depth, prev/next class, etc) is pretty much a 'must get' us.

However, I've seen several state that Emery is even better than Cain. I'm starting to believe it (gonna wait till at least their Sr season to make up my own mind). But knowing he's at least on the same level, from a certain point-of-view they are interchangeable, i.e. "one of the two is a must get".

If I had to pick a favorite of the three I'm going with Davis. I'm not saying Davis is better, just saying I'd like to see at minimum we get at least 1 of Emery/Cain AND Davis.

To get all 3 is not as impossible as many seem to think (albeit not likely). So I say do our damndest to get Davis signed in early period and then pursue Cain & Emery both like they are our 'priority' (yes, sometimes have to do that in recruiting) and see where the chips fall.

LSU needs a RB room like Bama's
They always have 4/5 five star RB's to lean on.

Davis can also contribute in the passing game, he's underrrated right now by 247.

There was an article about Noah Cain and his being invited to the "Elite Junior Day" event. He is good buds with Tyrion Davis and Kardell Thomas. He was already talking jersey numbers with Coach Eaux and was promised #7. Never hear much about Emery besides the part about all three playing together.

From SEC Country:
5-star RB sees unique opportunity available at LSU

“Elite junior day, it felt like we were a team, to be honest with you,” Cain told SEC Country. “The elite dudes from Louisiana all in the same room. … Coach O was stressing that if we all decided to come down there, we’d make the national championship like the 2017 and 2018 Georgia classes, like ‘Bama’s classes. If we all decided to go to LSU, we’d be in that same predicament to compete for national championships.

“To be there, it really showed me that LSU considers me an in-state guy. They know I’m from there and have so many ties to the to LSU. It felt good. To catch up with [LSU commits] Kardell [Thomas] and Ty [Davis] again and build a relationship with another top dude in Donte’ Starks, if we all decided to play together, we could make a national championship run.”

“Being from the same area, knowing my people and knowing their people, it felt like family linking back up with them,” Cain said of being reunited. “Kardell is the top guard in the country and me running behind him week in and week out against the tough defensive linemen in the SEC, that’s big for me. Going into the situation, LSU always has good offensive linemen, so Kardell recruiting me every week is big for me.”

Orgeron made the most of his face time with the nation’s No. 19 overall prospect in the Class of 2019.

The two spoke about jersey numbers and opportunities, two subjects that Cain can’t help but focus on as he begins to look toward the end of his recruitment.

“I started watching LSU when Leonard Fournette got there. My pops told me that LSU had the top running back coming in and when I started studying football and the studying the game, from his senior year (at St. Augustine) ’til his junior year at LSU, I saw the development he got from the coaches at LSU,” Cain explained.

“Louisiana showed him a lot of love when he was there. For me to be in that same conversation as Leonard Fournette, Derrius Guice and (Jeremy Hill), it means a lot. Coach O stressed to me that I could wear No. 7 my freshman year. That’s a dream of mine, a goal of mine. Every time I look up, I see an LSU back … knowing I can be next in line is big for me.”

Bama always has 5* everything. O’s biggest job as HC is recruiting. ‘19 will be his make or break class.

Nothing against Noah but Emery just looks better on film to me. He looks much faster and has more explosion. Noah looks like JK Dobbins and Emery looks like Travis Etienne.

If "so-called LSU fans" can't stand good news in regards to LSU, frick EM.

If any idiot needs to be told this when the 2019 continues to grow and shine, they don't deserve to be fans of the program.

Who cares. Normal people on this board are not stupid enough that they can be sold a load of crap by a bunch of idiots. Kind of like with your post right now.

Ree, this is the second time you've come at me like this. Out of all the stupid fricking shite you post every day, I never disrespect your opinion. If that's how you want to react to a simple honest opinion, go frick yourself and don't bother responding to me anymore.

This thread was not meant to garner your opinion of how signing two or three of the top running backs in the nation will cause dissention among posters on this board.

You can shove the "Oh, innocent me crap". Your post was a troll that should have at the very most been it's own bait thread.

You didn't take a glance at the post I was responding to did you? You didn't notice that it did not say one thing about what you are now preaching the thread is about?

Nope, you immediately think that I am going off to support the LSU head coach only because you hate when people do that. It sure wasn't because I was pumping the head coach and I don't think I even mentioned him.

Weird, man, very weird. Sounds like you know about cupping someone's balls from experience.

The OP literally said "What are yall's thoughts?" If you weren't so concerned with shitting on everyone's opinion that differs from yours and insulting people you would have realized that I was shitting on both sides of this dumb argument you have with the same people everyday. But, you turned it into your side of that fight in which you use the same 5 or 6 points you have hidden behind those purple and gold blinders.
