After watching the sugar bowl, I’m really glad that they don’t have Humphrey because he was their biggest weapon last year and I think that his absence will be a big factor. I also think that many people are over selling the, “beat down of UGA.”

A touchdown win over a Georgia team that Kirby had to sit players for practices to motivate them. It was extremely noticeable players were taking plays off. Then we look at where the offense was starting off on their drives. A 66 yard swing on a punter kneeling puts UT in the red zone which leads to a score. A muffed punt leads to a short field. Not many drives down the field ever happened. I just don’t see an explosive offense that beat the doors off Georgia. I see an uninspired Georgia team making 3 or 4 errors that made Texas’ day fairly easy.

Anyone else on the same page with this?

Didn’t they win 28-21?

Georgia didn't want to be there and Texas saw the opportunity to beat an SEC team was my take

I recently watched the game too, and was thinking the same. Those 2 early turnovers really changed the game, practically gave them 2 scores and took a drive away from UGA.

Texas fans are likewise looking only at the final score of our win v. UCF, and not the nature of the game. It was close only on the scoreboard.

We literally handed them 14 points in our bowl game. UGA was its own worst enemy in the Sugar Bowl.

Don't get me wrong. I think Texas is a solid team, but if they are basing their confidence on the Sugar Bowl win, then they are in for a very big shock come September.

Yeah, Georgia basically spotted them 17 points on bone-headed mistakes and turnovers. Texas looked good, but it wasn't an arse kicking the way they make it out to be.

yes i actually thought UGA shot themselves in the foot more so than Texas Dominated them....If you want to give any credit to Texas i would say they capitalized off of UGA's Mistakes

If they had Lil Jordan they may have kept it within 10, but...they don’t. We are going to beat the shite out of them in their own house. We win by at least 14. I’m thinking 38-17 though.

Georgia had no interest in that game. It was exactly like Bama OU a few years prior.

Watching them play Ok state from last year on youtube right now. They gave up 260 yds in the 1st quarter to a shitty Okie State team. I think we are going to crush them.

So 28-21

Honestly they scored 10 points on bad bad UGA turnovers.

Stop their qb from using his legs and their one dementional.. Plus they lost loads of talent especially on defense so.. I see a 30-40 point game for Lsu if they punch them right in the mouth first quater.. Texas might score 10-17 points.. Depends on what the defense do

Yes, but to hear them tell it, they detroyed Georgia, it was a beat down.

Apparently they don;t know what a beat down is on the other side of the Sabine. We will enlighten them in just a few weeks.

Interestingly, LSU's offense was ranked ahead of Texas in PPG, Rushing yards per game, and rushing TDs last year.

Yeah, LSU's offense.

LSU
32.4 PPG
173.6 Rushing Yards per game
29 Rushing TDs

Texas
31.07 PPG
153.1 Rushing Yards per game
24 Rushing TDs.

Even total offense they only averaged 19 more yards per game than us.

And our offense supposedly sucked and they were supposedly a high powered, Big 12 scoring machine. Or so the prevailing wisdom would have you believe.

Lsu won 36-16. And it could have been much worse if our red zone offense would have been more efficient that day.
