But was also VERY young! Most of the players playing in that game were key players on the NC team in 2003!

I remember periods of being frustrated with Saban for losing more games than I thought we should lose. The difference is that Saban has evolved and improved as a coach overtime. I think that is why folks tend to revise history and seem to think that the Saban that was here is the same (or similar) to the Saban at Bama. While they share similarities, he is clearly a much better coach now, achieving more consistency.

I do enjoy watching the early 2000's stuff though as it felt, for the first time, that the program was turning a corner and starting to achieve its potential. Ah, good days indeed.

Can you tell me what the fire able offense is for this coach? Should be entertaining

60% of the fanbase wants him gone.

30% want to keep him because they're too dull to see past the w-l record.

10% want to keep him because they like to argue, even if it means arguing that Saban's LSU teams were not better coached than Miles's.

That team won the SEC with a young team. This team did not come close to winning the SEC. Case closed.

Put this team in the west in 2001 they win it. They had the same records and the SEC West in 2001 was weaker and didn't have to play a saban coached Bama team. Oh and if you are gonna call 2001 LSU team young then you have to call 2015 LSU team young.

Has Les Miles ever racked up over 500 years of offense at Alabama?

You can't cherry pick. Alabama was terrible. TERRIBLE. They had back-to-back 3 win & 7 win seasons.

Why are you so disingenuous? Or are you actually in the 30% so you're actually missing the point?

a bad Ole Miss team at that

and barely beat Kentucky (who finished 2-9)

but that team did finish strong with beating both Arky and Auburn...although both of those teams would lose 5 games that year

just looking at our schedule that year...man we had an easy road to the SEC West title

kinda like UF this year

yes, they lost by 11...and then went on to win the last 6 games of the season...they got better as the season went on, the sign of a well coached team, we haven't seen that much lately

We lost 3 games that year.
Does that mean the team wasn't well coached? Because that's what you were implying. Or do you have some other reason to keep asking that question?
