Coach O loves LSU and will forever be a Tiger. He let the job get too big for him and didn’t need to be the head coach. But if his focus is DL or recruiting you won’t find many better.

People hate O because they hate themselves and Louisiana.
We have a strange dynamic in our state where we're not really proud of it anymore.
This is a cold hard fact that everyone can choke on:
Without Ed Orgeron - Joe Burrow never steps foot on our campus. Jimbo, Herman, Frost, Saban, Smart etc all passed on him.
It was us and Cincinatti.
I don't want to give him credit on guys like Stingley and Chase even though he flipped/landed them because they're instate kids and whoever could have been in O's seat would be expected to land them.
But there is no one who can argue that without O we land Burrow.
So hate Ed all you want but know one thing for certain - he brought Louisiana and LSU the greatest college football team of all time and he best QB to ever step foot on tiger stadiums field.
I'll forever be grateful to O for that season and I'll literally remember it until I die.
