Those of you that are so sure that Lee won't see the field in the game

This is Miles we're talking about here. No one ever knows what to expect and that's a good thing.

He won't be slated as the starter, we all know that. But you can bet your arse there will be a package for him with this much time to prepare. Les is probably a little gun shy playing Lee against Bama but I wouldn't be shocked to see him come in for a series for a quick change of pace since he is so good on those quick out plays that are pretty much hand offs anyway.

Wouldn't be shocked at all to see Lee in the game early with some safe stuff to see how Bama reacts.

I agree. I think he'll play a role albeit possibly a small one.

I wouldn't be surprised to see JL make a huge difference in this game.

Reminds me of a caller on a national college talk radio show Monday night. "Ray from Louisiana" called in to tell it that he has an inside source on the team who told him that ever since Nov. 5, Les has been hiding Lee and working on a few series with him in practice specifically designed against a rematch with Bama. And that he Lee didn't play again so as to not tip anyone off. But that the plays are designed so that Lee will come into the game in the 2nd half and be the hero.

Ray was 1000% serious.

Lee will step on the field 6 times in the game.

1-Pregame practice
2-Runing out of the tunnel to the sideline, he will walk on the playing field.
3-Walking off the sidelines at halftime, he will cross the sideline boundaries and step on the playing field.
4-Walking back to the sidelines after halftime
5-Walking off the field after the game is over.
6*-He'll probably poke his toes over the line during the game when no one's looking and spitefully think to himself "Ha! I'm on the field anyway, you bastard."

*Method 6 may or may not be repeated more than once during the course of the game.

I think if he gets in, it's only for a couple of drives to throw Bama off.

We all know that Lee can't run

But to pretend that he doesn't bring something to the table that JJ doesn't is pretty silly

Exactly. We need them both.

I wouldn't mind seeing this in a drive. Though I'd either want him to hand the ball off, or throw it in a scheme with a low % chance of getting pressured.

That is great news!! I just hope that we can keep it a secret.

Knowing Miles, he leaked it to "Ray" so that he would broadcast it and it would get back to BAMA and they would start to prepare for something that isn't going to happen. But Nick knows that Les knows that Nick suspects that Les might...

If something like this were true, why would any self respecting LSU fan even think about letting it out.

Some people are more interested in being right or the one to break news than LSU winning.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Lee go in for a play at WR or something and line up behind the line of scrimmage to set up a catch and pass. Even more likely I see it as a decoy to distract the defense - then JJ runs the option to the other side of the field.

Either way, Lee is way too much of an asset to not make Saban think about him. This team's greatest strength is depth and it includes the QB position.

Right

Which is why I wouldn't be shocked to see some quick outs to Beckham or Shepard to get them involved in the game

I'd expect JJ to get AT least 70% of the snaps and he may get all of them but it wouldn't surprise me if Les has some plays for Lee if the offense is sputtering

If JJ comes out against bama like he did UGA...Lee will be playing well before half.

I love Lee, I swear to God. Don't understand any of what's going on, but I just don't think Lee plays another meaningful down. Wished I did.

I would be very surprised to see Lee get any meaningful playing time in the game unless we fall behind by two scores in the second half. Miles' utilization of JJ and JL in 2010 - when there were no off the field issues to complicate matters - is telling as to how Miles views the two players.

You forgot to mention #7 Lee after all is the official Team Kneeler. Depending on how close the game is Miles will allow him to kneel.

Eh, Miles has situations where he will use Lee. Those situations may or may not present themselves. See also the SECCG.

Then wouldnt have Miles put Lee in since that was the same scenario int he SECCG???

I firmly believe that if JJ comes out again like he did against Ga, Miles will stick with JJ just like he did... and he will stick with him until the game is out of hand, then throw Lee in as a hail mary.

If JJ doesnt throw well, victory will be difficult, even unlikely.

Alabama is a better team than UGA.

If we come out that flat, they will put points on the board, and not the 3 point variety.
