Don't mistake passion and frustration for being miserable. It's nice that so many people are judgmental though. Judging people is a sign of misery. LSU fans care a lot , sometimes to much, about most sports relating to LSU. A lot of the reason people get crazy, is the lack of obvious change that is needed. If something doesn't work, change it and try something else. It's frustrating to see LSU under achieve constantly.

It's one thing to be always negative about LSU football, it's another thing to show your support, watch or go to every game, and demand success.

I'm one of the biggest positigers on this board and I want to see some change.

Yes, I did. I was merely pointing out that the Bama recruiting topic has been used consistently on this site as one of the main reasons they have had more success than LSU the last half decade.

Well maybe I should say you didn't read what I was responding to, that originally had nothing to do with Bama. They guy said we shouldn't lose to teams that are ranked behind us in recruiting. I said it isn't that simple, then Bama gets brought up.

Over the last couple of weeks, I've noticed you. That's usually not good. You aren't much of a thinker from what I can tell.

I'm not saying we WILL win. I'm saying that, even with the issues, LSU CAN win championships. That doesn't eliminate the legitimate issues we have. That doesn't mean that reasonable criticism has no place.

You black and white thinkers are hilarious to me. Has it not dawned on you that this team was looking very good early in the year? Obviously, things fell apart, but you have you forgotten that LSU was playing good football early?

The truth is that you can't see past your nose. Sit back. Hope that LSU turns it around. And, if they do, you can jump right back on that bandwagon.

Does LSU ever have men in motion when the ball is snapped or even change formations at the LOS?

I don't know, because I've never seen it happen.

Understand what I'm saying.

I honestly can't say that I do and I have read this several times.

quote:

When football itself makes a ton of money for your athletic program, you pay top dollar for a top coach. The money generated from the future success of that coach will more than cover your expenses from paying him

This is what I don't understand, at all. So your are saying that ROI is always positive in terms of coaches salary...because they will have guaranteed success? What if he doesn't have success? What if you are paying 2 coaches at the same time? I hope you are not saying that the coaches salary exp is insignificant compared to rev?

quote:

That point is irrelevant.

Which one? the cost of coaches? Because I would argue that it is the most relevant and was explicitly mentioned by Alexander as a reason not to make a move. If you changed coaches and had to overpay because the timing you caused (the University) dictated so, you will have an even higher buyout in the future and we do this whole thing over again, so I would say it is plenty relevant.

Ughh I've been on the LSU bandwagon since 1982.
I've been off the Les Mile's Bandwagon since 2012.

I think you're FOS and ignore obvious downward trend the last 4 years and you, with absolutely no justification at all, just assume and hope we're suddenly going to turn things around.

You see I don't ignore reality and hope for the best. I've got facts and figures-- 2011 playing for the National Championship to 2014 losing the Music City Bowl.

You're the dreamer not the thinker. You're just a typical NextYearU guy you just try to dress it up a little more than usual.
