re: Those of you "fans" who are so anti-everything LSU football need a reality check

You people love pretending you call the shots
I know you're a troll, never went to LSU, and perhaps have a learning disability, but how you construed my post had anything to do with "calling the shots" is stupid. But, that is one of your standard responses so carrying on... your standing as the worst poster on this site continues.

The pendulum has swung way too far. Most of the negativity is just people being lemmings and being unable to think for themselves.
True story: at the aTm game,we sat next to this guy that yelled "so predictable" or something along those lines for the first two series of the game (even though we were lining up in formations we haven't seen all year), until my brother told him to chill out with the negativity. His response: "come on y'all say that stuff too, right?" He stopped after we told him no.
Point is, he thought he was just being a tiger fan by yelling at the coaches from the East Uppers on every offensive play and cheering for none.

I don't have the time to read your rude, dumb rant. So, here's a downvote.
Oh, and I hope you enjoy another year of half-assed, 80's football. Playoffs???

Fans who want better for our team, and who would think it's reasonable to expect our team to field a competent offense are not miserable people. They simply are people who want better for their team.
exactly right. I still love the Tigers, but we're not performing to our max capabilities. Being able to acknowledge that and believe we should strive for something better doesn't mean I'm "miserable." I'm just realistic about the direction of our program and want us to get better. How in the world does that make me "miserable?"
I also love my country, but I'm very upset about the direction we're headed and the leaders we have. That doesn't make me miserable either.
Remember, just because you love something doesn't mean it's immune to criticism. In fact, I'd argue the opposite: if you love something, you should want it to be successful, and that means trying to improve it when you see flaws. In other words, don't be an enabler - instead actually address the problems and try to fix them.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Nice job.

so now OceanMan wants to say that LSU, having the 4th best 4 year recruiting average in all of FBS, should not rely on recruiting rankings because they are largely arbitrary and irrelevant...despite the fact that the teams ranked #1, #2 and #3 in the 4 year 'crootin rankings are the last 3 NC winners.

Maybe you didn't read what I said
Yes, I did. I was merely pointing out that the Bama recruiting topic has been used consistently on this site as one of the main reasons they have had more success than LSU the last half decade.
My point was you can't say "don't base wins on recruiting". It's one of the biggest components to success. But, I'll agree that other factors, including the biggest, have to be considered. Which is coaching... something Miles has been struggling with recently. Hopefully he turns it around.

Further, overpaying for a coach just to get Miles out, while we are at a weak bargaining position, may lead us into the same exact position in the near future, with an even larger buyout.
When football itself makes a ton of money for your athletic program, you pay top dollar for a top coach. The money generated from the future success of that coach will more than cover your expenses from paying him. That point is irrelevant. I'm not just talking about the consequences of firing Miles either. Understand what I'm saying. If the athletic admins want the coach gone just as much as some of these fans then why put them at fault. There are legitimate reasons beyond the OP's little 10 yr old boy feeling that a coach needs to go. This is big boy football not little league. You can be a caring and concerned fan at the same time.

Are you really this stupid?
So tell us where this $4 million salary comes from.
Here's a quiz for you. The question is, name a place where the TAF generates funds to pay salaries to coaches.
A. From golden tiger droppings found in Mikes cage.
B. It rains silver dollars in tiger stadium on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
C. The golden girls sell cookies to the Chinese government.
D. Individuals known as fans who purchase tickets to LSU sporting events, as well as other LSU related goods and services.
