Or because football season is ending and they're clearing their seasonal merchandise. Like a lot of stores do.

So, LSU crockpots, LSU bbq grill tools, LSU clocks, LSU Christmas decor, LSU t-shirts, LSU lights, etc., is limited solely and exclusively to football? Come on, it doesn't take a Wall Street executive to see the down trend. Just go to any random store that sells LSU merch.

Posted by TigerJeff online on 12/6/15 at 11:24 pm to LSUGrad9295 With you, brother. Look, when I heard "Jimbo Fisher," I was excited. It didn't happen. Now, I want to win the bowl game, and sign a great class in February. I just am not built, like some folks, to be an Eeyore with a black cloud trailing over me ... I mean, there is practice for the bowl game; the bowl game; signing date; spring practice; fall practice. I hope we kick arse next year. If we don't, then we don't, and if that means a new coach, I'm all for it. If we DO have new coach next yr, wouldn't everyone want the team to have a lot of talent on the roster; isn't that depending in part on the upcoming signing class; and, doesn't all this negativity have the potential of hurting the recruiting effort? Would love folks who feel the need to be negative to have some situational awareness and perhaps shut the frick up, or, find a new team to support.

Thumbs up.

Of course not, but you said the only reason LSU gear is on clearance is because of Les Miles. Retailers do need to move merch seasonally, regardless of who is coaching a football team.

I can't go to a random store with LSU stuff, but I used to work for collegiate sports apparel retailer that worked with reps from Nike, Adidas, etc. If the product didn't say Clemson, Alabama, Michigan State or Oklahoma right now, then a lot of the Fall line would likely be discounted to begin clearing inventory for Spring stuff.

Cool, man. I do too. Except for LSU football. LSU football is more than just a childhood pastime. It's a passion. So frick off and let people who care more than you do express themselves on the message board which was designed for such things.

All I knew is that I wanted the Tigers to win. Why does that change as some of you get older?

It doesn't change. Most people become a little more knowledgeable and more understanding of how things work. So your 10 yr old mind still tells you "I want to win" while my adult mind says "we aren't winning, and maybe here's why..."

I was in goodwood hardware on Friday. None of their stuff was on sale. And you are full of shite. Just go see LSUs ticket sales. Maybe also check some of the TV ratings as well.

Anyone who takes issue with anything you've said is a silly little bitch.

We had the best coach of a generation here and we lost him to a bitter rival.
Bertman should have realized what he had and threw the bank at him to keep him at LSU.

No, he couldn't have possibly outbid Huizenga, but he could have offered him enough of an increase to keep him at LSU.

Bertman went cheap and the rest is history.

The same thing just happened with FKA. Pay Jimbo the 7 million and be done with it. You had your guy and you blew it........

Buddy I'm just like you. Of course I want the tigers to win every single game they play, but as with any team that seldom happens. When I think of winning every game that does not mean that I care if we're in the top 4 or top 10 or whatever other rank the media networks or coaches polls rank us. If I like a coach like I did with all of them since Coach Dietzel, with the exception of Curley I just would like to see them make the improvements that need to be made to make our team more competitive. I don't care if we lose to Alabama every year. Just don't lose to those teams that follow them when we have better talent. If those teams Ole Miss which is one of them are more talented then so be it. They were that way when I was a kid, and if we can steal a win from them just do it, and I don't care how. But the thing is LSU didn't charge you a arm, and a leg to buy season tickets back then. My dad's tickets cost him $21 per book, and mine cost $7. The year was 1969, one of the greatest teams LSU has ever fielded. Now it's big business and they do charge you an arm, and a leg, and the fans who give up those body parts want something out of the ordinary in return or they get pissed, and I can't blame them.
