Do you realize how much of a favorite LSU would be if we had the type of proven QB you keep referring to?

We know our deficiencies. Yet, we still have a better than average chance at beating Oregon. How does that feel?

Cant wait to hear the excuses you guys come up with, and no, dont say "because we play in the SEC" im tired of hearing that, since its the only thing that gets said by the homers on this board, im hoping some of the more intelligent and knowledgable posters that i know are on here will respond!

Excuse for what? Two BCS national titles and a superior record against the PAc 10? By deliberately picking a useless topic you can't change the fact that you (Oregon) have won nothing. Your only real shot at a national title was cut short by an SEC team so I guess I understand your bitterness. Must suck.

That's what's so funny. It's like when all the Bama fans were trashing us for having "that idiot Miles" coaching our team before he coached circles around their befuddled munchkin mayor. It was like, "so, how does it feel to pay your coach $5 million to lose to 'that idiot'"?

You do realize that your arguing with someone whos not looking to have a real conversation with you and very well could be Beaver or Husky fan.

Wow a Gay reference. How witty

Considering you haven't personally won anything your really not in a position to talk shite either . Just some dude living with his mother wishing the glory days of pop warner had turned into something more glorious.

And you know I've never won anything... how? And insinuating I live with my mother... again with the wit.

Considering you know that particular slang and the probability your still supported by your parents is fairly high, my guess is you smoked a bit of chronic in your day.

Who doesn't know that slang? I know many slang words for Marijuana... doesn't mean I ever smoked. And again referencing parents. Hitting that 6th grade rhetoric hard aren't cha?

I don't think it's your strong suit. You may want to take baby steps.

Let me guess. Your coup de grace is...

"Put down mommys keyboard..." or some variation of an age dig.

You are a master.... I want no part of you.

If you think the QB's are going to determine who wins you're very mistaken. You need to take a puff to clear you're head. Our defense vs. your offense, that's how the game's gonna go. Your team hasn't played a defense of this caliber in a long time (No Auburn last year isn't even close). Our DT's are young, but quick, strong, and smart. Three deep in DE's- where the second and third stringers could easily be starting at almost any school. Morris claiborne is considered the best shutdown corner in the SEC and you better believe he's going to play lights out so he can try and get some money in the NFL next year. We have three other great corners in TM7, TS24 and RB13. All three could start anywhere and TM7 was a Freshman All American last year. Baker's back as one of the best linebackers in the SEC. Yeah we lost Kelvin, which is a big deal, but we have one of greatest Linebacker coaches ever, and Hatcher gained weight to play the role, which IMO is a better fit because he was a dominant run stopping safety. In the deep back we have three excellent safeties that are the best triple threat you will ever see. Whether its run stopping or pass defending, they will do it all day. They have spent the last 8 months running, lifting, training, and watching film, just waiting for the chance to eat your offense alive. Saturday will be a great day for Oregon fans, you will get to see more future NFL players on an opposing defense than ever before and maybe never again.

This is a quality post and the reason LSU will win. No one expects JL to beat you. We will beat you with a ball control running game that keeps your Blur offense on the side line.
And make no mistake ....when you stack the box Lee can and will burn you.On 3rd and 12 in the 4th with the game hanging in the balance he can and will make the big throw for the conversion.
as pointed out above our speed on defense will negate your very impressive speed on offense.
We will match you fast for fast and then beat you with power.

You will understand when you lose what seems to be a close one 31 -27 . But it will have been Lesticles paln all along.

Lee has 9 starts as someone else pointed out last year, and maybe equivalent to 2 more full games between his spot duty over that time. So 11 games to 13 for Thomas.

Lee started as A RS Freshman and was thrown into the fire in defense oriented league. Thomas had playing time as a freshman then had a year as a redshirt (2 years) prior to starting in a conference focused on offense and had a heisman trophy running back in his backfield.

That said, Both offer something different and Thomas had a very good QB coach and OC since Kelly controls play calling. LSU had a massive cluster at OC/HC and no real QB coach, so I'd expect Lee to struggle more than Thomas over the past 3 seasons.

I don't think Lee's starts to this point have much bearing on how he will play in 2011.

But your fans have already said how they're going to stack the box to make us beat you with the pass. Well, Reuben randle attempts to smile at this notion.
I don't think Lee "lights you up" because I think he gets about 18 passes. We get a lead and sit on it, while your defense gets a heavy dose of Ware, Gore, Ford, Magee, Hilliard, Copeland. They are going to love that. As for Thomas, I hope he is serviceable after our DEs get through with him

A) Lee has only started like 9 games.
B) He did it against teams like Alabama, Florida and .... oh yes, I believe you're familiar with Auburn.

How many TD did DT run/throw for against Auburn, whose D was average at best for SEC standards. Now recalculate those inflated Pac stats

Not against SEC teams, quackleberry....

You're right, in two games against SEC teams he has 563 yards passing. That averages out to 281.5 yards a game passing, which is better than the 221 he averaged for the year. I guess we should assume if he played an SEC shceduled he would have better stats.
