Looks like you hit the nail on the head. I’ll take it one step further. Looks like the lack of effort is part of the plan to get back at the fans who complained about the social injustice march. Sort of like, you won’t support us, we will tank this mutha fricker. Too many talented athletes missing tackles and just going through half arse motions. Maybe that’s not it, but whatever it is, somebody needs to get a handle on it very quickly.

As a player during the Hallman era, I can assure this staff isn't on their level

This, I will not sink any more time into this trash. Tiger Stadium attendance will be insanely low the rest of the year

Will quit? Will? As in, will do so in the future? As in, they haven’t?

This. They've already left for the off season.

Talent wise this is not the worst LSU team by far and that is the saddest thing . Curley Hallman teams didn’t have much talent. This current situation however is even worse; what we have is mainly a team of quitters and a coaching staff that has lost the focus of their players. I am not indicting every player or coach but there is a internal problem going on here that needs to be addressed NOW for next season .
Our program and brand are still in good shape and the strangeness of this year and season gives Coach a one season pass -BUT ONLY ONE! LSU must not return to the horrible years of losing and being a non relative program.

Your post makes a lot of sense, and I basically agree with it. However, Alabama is EVERY BIT as conservative as Louisiana, and saban has his program's mindset right. Obviously, he's a better coach and program manager than our pe teacher is. Maybe saban was smart enough to keep his support of Trump on the down low?

If this really did play into Chase opting out, I wish the others who felt the same way would’ve joined him instead of playing and giving a half-assed effort. NFL scouts are watching.

This may be true but Charlie Hannagriff said it well; These players are being watched by the NFL and that other than Stingley and Marshall their stock and draft status is dropping big time. This is costing them potentially millions of dollars ! You would think these guys would be paying attention to that. Then again maybe NOT!

They quit in the first game. Everyone saw it. Yet they go on Twitter and call our fans who have been fans longer than their own life. This team gave up in August. They have no passion for the team.

Saban is a democrat. He’s pretty open about his support for that party - was all in behind Hillary in 2016.

Psychological projection is a defense mechanism in which the ego defends itself against unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves by attributing them to others.

Did not know that. Outside of football he is a fool then.

However, isn't it possible he just claims to be a dim to aid in recruiting? Remember, saban plays 3d chess.

This is the correct reason why Bama's political situation is better than LSU's.
