Your tone.
In fact, thanks to my post count/registration date seniority, I'm going to have to ask you to stop posting.

I love playing Florida every year. And its not like we will always will be playing be playing the 2 best teams in the East. Florida will have their down years and we will get our share of Kentuckys and Vandys
But we will never play the Kentuckys and Vanderbilts in the same year. Next year, Alabama will play Kentucky and Tennessee. Tennessee is currently on or below Vanderbilt's level based off of who won last year's game and who is likely to win this year's game.
If Alabama had to play USC, Georgia, or Florida during the regular season this year, there's a chance that LSU is playing in Atlanta again.

No tone at all. Please try and stay on topic is probably the least offensive thing ever said on the rant.
I'm tired of this topic getting into a pissing match about who is scared and who is returning who and what schedule is ok and who gets the benefit of the doubt of tough scheduling. They ruin threads like this. I would like to discuss a more equitable divisional format or scheduling format.
With those goals in mind, I hope you can contribute to this thread as intended.

It is really good isn't it? Can you imagine if LSU beat Bama in a game that would relegate them to the lower division.
That will heat up your rivalries.

The overall solution is simple:
The West teams should decide the West champion.
The East should decide the East.
Simply do not count East vs West results in determining division champions.

Sorry rick, no can do. Please try to keep your vulgar, hate-driven personal attacks to yourself in the future.

It does fix some of the issues from a divisional championship, but it doesn't help balance the schedules and could hurt a top SEC contender by knocking out a team with less losses that is higher in the polls from the SECCG and causing the conference a NT birth.

The problem with only the West record deciding things is tiebreaker problems. Who wins the West this year assuming Bama-LSU-A&M all win out? All three would have one west loss and against each other. The fact that Bama is the only one without an East loss should give them the spot in the SECCG as otherwise games against the East are essentially out of conference.

Spurrier touched on this during SEC Media Day. After it was mentioned, one of the local radio guys (either Hanagriff or Moscona) did some research and found out that if this method was in place, Curley actually would have made the SEC title game one of the years he was here!

Not quite...I'd go w this (although I'd hate it):
West should be:
TX A&M, Mizzou, LSU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Arky, Vandy
East:
UF, UGA, USCe, TN, Auburn, UK, Bama
Tuscaloosa is more geographically west than Nashville, just saying.

I think the thought there is you have to have AU, Bama, UGA, and UT in the same division because RIVALRIES.

This year the top 3 SEC West teams are 1-1 against each other.
They are all undefeated against the other SEC West teams.
They are all undefeated against teams outside of the top 2 in the East division.
Yet one of these teams has the West all but locked up.
So weak.
