I could see Wright doing that and being known as the journalist that changed the dynamic.
Wright covered LSU football for the Times Picayune early in his career. Most will not remember this but he broke the story about Saban intimidating professors into passing players.
It was a big story and I believe the NCAA may have looked into it. That’s how we got the Cox Athletic Academic Center. Saban leveraged the bad press into good press, and shortly thereafter, Wright was on his way to Kansas City...then to ESPN.
Like the Armstrong story, a large part of the Saban story will involve lies and intimidation as well as a fanboy media.
I think Saban’s run at Bama will end not with a fanciful retirement, but with a resignation and lawsuits if someone in the media will grow a set and put in the work that will not be easy.

When did Saban praise White's suspension? I just rewatched the State game. Still not targetting

I’d love to see punch the shite out of that midget just once.

I’d start by looking at the vehicles his players start driving after they sign.

I was a student from 2000-2005, and remember this well. The sportswriters from the Reveille (riiiiight before it "nuked the fridge" and got unreadable) in that era pulled no punches either. At least before 2003 they didn't...

That was going on at LSU too. He got cars to players through used car dealers. Nothing overly outlandish back then. Things have gotten more outlandish at Bama it appears. He arranges jobs and homes for players families. He turns a blind eye to cash benefits from agents.

I'd start with guys like Kamara and Bo Scarborough and Tony Brown. elite 5 star guys who either had to transfer or just never deloped. eventually you'll find one who blames saban personally and owes him nothing. that's your flood gate.

Coach O: we’re Comming. And we ain’t backing down.
Lord Saban: We’ll be waiting...and you all will bend the knee or we will destroy you.

That’s right. When he won the Title, all that scrutiny went away. It never really came back either. He’s been bulletproof since.

I agree, though it’ll have to be more than that I believe. You will have to get coaches from his staff that are no longer in coaching (even if grad assistants). There are some out there. I personally know of one, but he’s successful in business and wouldn’t want the negative press.

Not in the NFL, where his own players told him to suck their dick (paraphrasing a quote from some random lineman after Saban cussed him). He realized he wasn't bulletproof in the pros and jumped ship upon first opportunity.

Somebody needs to step up and make saban retire earlier than planned. Historically another blue blood should do it. Norte dame or OSU for example. Hell even Texas.

O could still kick the crap out of 98% of this board.
The guy has held it together and done a really good job. I’m happy for him.

I literally hate that midget turd with legs

O looks like a man who knows he'll never beat the master.

Incorrect. What O is thinking is if Saban would taste better in a gumbo or jambalaya. Personally, I say gumbo.

O looks like a man who would smash that self absorded midget.

I wouldn't call it praise.
At first he said he didn't want to make a comment on it but in his next breath, did.
He said: “I think we’ve got lots of people who make those decisions. It’s a player safety rule. We’ve got people in the booth who look at replays, and that’s why we do it -- so they get it right. I don’t think it’s my place to make a comment on it.”

If you've ever talked to Ed personally, its just how he looks.
He doesn't know me by name, but I've spoken to him a half dozen times at Franco's over the years, and when he's listening to you, he's staring at you like he's about to eat your soul.
