What if we go 8-4, (9-4 after winning a bowl) while losing to bama by 2 on a last second FG (they were put into field goal range by a questionable PI call), and to, say, auburn by 4.. does that change your criteria? Does HOW we lose come into play? Does beating bama give him a little more room for error?

its a subjective subject. some would be ok with losing 4 and beating bama but i wouldnt.beating bama while losing 4 games still doesnt get us anywhere closer to winning the west. ill lose to bama every year if we win the west. 4 loss and beating bama probably saves him and then Alleva will also take into account this up coming recruiting class. this class coming in will the most important class since 2013's class. the state is loaded with talent.

It's easy to pump rainbows when you don't have to be held to any of it. If they underachieve this year it'll be because of the usual suspects, Miles, Canada, the players not grasping the scheme, or even Aranda. We even saw them hang Aranda out to dry this past season.

Who are the other two losses to?
I can't see any other additional losses on the schedule that would be encouraging for the future of LSU football.

I don't mind them at all because these threads bring up research that I'm too lazy to go do myself. Whether I trust the hiring process or not, it's still nice to learn some stuff about the staff.
