Exciting to watch. I was hoping the runner would try to steal on him. Night and day from last year.

Can’t hit. Ardoin is Texas freshman catcher from Ville Platte. He can hit, catch and throw.

He cannot hit very well....nor can Cranford, Gio, Hampton, Doughty, Bianco, Hughes...Just are not good hitters at this point...

He hits just fine for how well he plays Defense. His bat has already been better than expected.

He’s actually out of Moss Bluff, played at Sam Houston High School. Son of former MLB catcher Danny Ardoin. I think the dad is from Ville Platte so I guess the son may originally be from there as well.

Sam Houston had a few kids playing baseball that where not from moss bluff. Ardoin was one of them. Millazo is better defensively and can hit the ball well enough. Doesn’t have the pop that Garza and Travinski are capable of but to say he can’t hit is wrong. He also posted better numbers than Silas Ardoin across the board. Including a pop time that is .3 seconds faster and higher exit velocity with the bat.

3 of those guys are true freshman yet you can make the judgment after 10 games. Some solid takes.

I said at this point they are not good hitters. You can't really argue that point.

You said they “cannot hit very well”. The point about it being early to make that sort of statement in regards to true freshmen is correct
