Notre Dame has the same academic standards as Tulane for all intents and purposes and he has taken them to a BCS title game and 2 CFP berths. This is a great hire

As opposed to LSU, with its three body bag games, and annual matchups with bottom feeders like State, Arkansas, and Ole Miss?

You’ll be the first one complaining when he loses.

ND would have added Space Force to the schedule if they could and try to pretend it’s a historic rivalry

Remember how bad notre Dame was before him?

He knows what it takes. I want to see the coordinator hires but hiring a guy that knows how to build a program with LSU's resources is great.

Look at his schedule. People complained for years on here that ND plays two games a year and he loses those games but backs into the playoffs.

AGE, AGE, AGE. He will be as old as Little Nickie when his contract is up. Mark my words, he will never complete his contract.

You realize he’s winning those games as a sorta member of a conference that has Wake Forest and Pitt in its title game, don’t you? We needed somebody who can do more than beat up on service academies. This was a third or fourth choice hire, and no one wants to admit it.

You play your schedule. There is something to be said about winning the games you’re supposed to. O couldn’t do it, other than 1 year with burrow. I hope he brings freeman with him as DC.

Also, I think Cincinnati is pretty damn good this year. Veteran QB. 2 big time TEs. Deep at running back with guys who can catch. One very good receiver. NFL secondary, especially at corner. Gardner is going to be a first round pick. Very deep in the front 7 on defense. Good schemes on both sides of the ball. LSU would have lost to them too.

I agree. Maybe we should have hired their coach.

From an Auburn perspective....I am jealous. I think it is a great hire. I think he is going to surprise some people.
