our student section is fine...talk to all the richy riches in the gold seats leaving at halftime every game. The Student section has been filled to the brim every single game this year, which is pretty damn good compared to last year.

I think this scene from 1990 A&M game says a lot.

Tiger Stadium had an edge, an "us against the world" attitude--all the way down to the ball boy about to get into it with that Aggie.

20 years ago, Tiger Stadium was not the "wine and brie" place it has become now.

leaving early

I don't get this, sometimes u leave early because u have kids and need to GTF out. I paid for the seats, leaving when I want is my option.

Now a days you get ejected for standing up in certain sections of TS

The 'gentry' doesn't approve of standing, or loud demonstrative behavior in general; it's just not civilized or worthy of their wealthy and refined self-image. Plus they've got literally hundreds of better options for Saturday nights in case the game isn't going exactly like they think it should.

I was at the '97 UF game too, and happened to get my ticket in the student section. Didn't sit, and when that game was over, my voice was hoarse, I had a headache, and felt completely exhausted. In a good way.

That night, the fans left it all in the stands, so to speak.

You have to buy packages and not the season anymore

Everyone except for incoming students are all but guaranteed season tickets. The packages allow twice as many incoming students to at least receive some tickets.

My freshman year, if you weren't one of the first 2,000 or so students to get online at 8 a.m. you didn't get season tickets. Unless you bought a $500 dollar pen from someone.

What happened is the HC nad OC have not put a very good product on the field the past few years and people are getting sick of watching this boring arse offense that can't do anything.

Dude I was AT that game. I didn't sit for the ENTIRE GAME (in the student section)............nobody did. When I left that game, my head hurt, I was exhausted......I felt like I had just finished an intense workout.............................but I was on cloud nine for almost a week afterwards.

I think all the students left that way. We went in as soon as they opened the gates and the student section filled quickly. We didnt sit before the game, especially after the "sheet stealing" incident. The student section was loud from the time the players took the field to warm up until well after the game. I couldn't talk at all until Wednesday of the next week and still couldnt yell against Ole Miss, not that there was anything to yell about.
