In reality, a deal will be made behind closed doors if it hasnt already and the football season will get underway. I highly doubt LSU plays these guys. Roster them , sure.

The only real issue LSU has is the CFP committee. I say don't give them a reason. We had a really good team BEFORE trying to add them.

SEC can approve them listed on roster with practice and rehab but no play until Fed suit rules at expedited hearing within a week.
NIL is supposed to not be pay for play so leave that alone.

I was all for it before the CFP statement. They can invite whoever they want. Imagine having 11 or 12 wins and not getting invited... It's starting to feel like maybe the risk isn't worth it.

Why on earth would LSU go through all of this just to not play them? I’m not understanding some of yalls mindsets that keeps posting this idea on here. I don’t see a world where they go through all of this saga to get these dudes eligible and Lane turns around and says “nah, yall can just sit the bench all year”

LSU didn't go through any of this....LSU did NOT file any lawsuit. It was the players and their agents/attorneys. How is that hard to understand? Stop being brainwashed by the National Media and ignorant posters. LSU did NOT initiate this. Lord have mercy.

That people can’t grasp this amazes me.

Also, more programs than LSU will be adding and playing these players.

Its the most frustrating part of this whole thing. How intellectually dishonest everyone is being. Even Pete Thamel a well thought of reporter for ESPN is being intellectually dishonest saying LSU won. No they players won. We did not do anything.

I agree if you mean that the average man on the street doesn't care much about this, but I disagree if you mean it isn't a big deal. The litigation aspects of this are very real and are a big deal.

I’m pretty sure LSU must follow strict preseason acclimatization rules and players must participate in a certain amount of practices before being game eligible.

It is a pretty big damn deal in Birmingham. You may have missed the news, but Sankey and the SEC are suing LSU for abiding by a court's findings. They did not do that to Ole Miss for Chambliss. They did not do that to Bama for Bediako. They are singling out LSU.

If you think that "is a much MUCH bigger deal online than it is anywhere else," I don't know what to tell you.

I texted my friend yesterday who is also a huge lsu fan. I asked him what he thought about the current drama going on with lsu. He said “why? What’s going on? The LF thing where he gave somebody a number 5 necklace?”

I think you are right. This is not really as big as it is with all of us. I do think it’s news and an issue obviously. But it’s not doomsday.

I don’t think the CFP could take any action, and their personal liability in taking action would be huge IMO. It could be both criminal and civil.
