isn't o the head coach? Isn't he ultimately responsible for the team? Or should be?

If the team loses this game, o should shoulder the lion's share of the blame and the fans should be okay with that.

If the team wins, he should get his fair share of the credit. You'd be fine with that. Right?

I swear some of you guys that continue to give the guy a pass amaze me.

It doesn’t work like that. He only gets credit if we lose.

The same way it worked with the last head coach. Right?

This hasn't happened except after one game. The UGA game. Most of you were noticeably absent as well.

If we lose, it officially puts O on the must win west or make playoffs next year hotseat. A&M will only get better under Jimbo.

Our WRS are most at fault for dropping passes, more so than blocking. OL is makeshift due to injuries, not having true tackles who can pass protect and our best OL out for the year. Saying we don't have SEC RB is harsh. CEH and Brossette have done well considering their circumstances. They are not Guice or LF7. But they are not trash or chopped liver. RBs have out done expectations.

The reason we cannot run short pass plays effectively is because our WR's whiff on every single block attempt. This is why our screens fail. This is why the short crosses and pick plays aren't working, or bubble screens, or passes out of the backfield. It is KILLING our offense because this means we are running plays that are taking longer to develop, and wasting plays trying to run them.

This in turn puts more pressure on the OL. Our RB's are ok, but they are not SEC leading backs and are nothing like we've had at LSU for the last 20 years. This puts pressure on areas as well.

If we had one strength on offense, it would change everything, and we'd be able to rely on that somewhat to keep everything honest. But all areas are below average. Makes it tough.

A&M will be highly motivated to end LSU's win streak against them and with their tough defense against the run, Burrow will need to have success throwing on first down to set up the run. And if Trayveon Williams gets rolling against our injury-depleted defense (missing Breiden Fehoko), it could be a long night. LSU should be able to get good pressure on Mond though, as the Aggies have given up a lot of sacks. Another thing to watch is the field position battle, as A&M has a great punter.

Maybe. Depends on the bowl game IMO

Just curious as to what les Miles has to do with anything.

This is a weird thread.

Well that's not true. I could just as easily say that after games like Florida, Bama or games where we let a 2 win team make the game closer than it should have been or games where the offense looked like a hot mess for extended periods of the game, some of you were noticeably absent then.

I wasn't absent after the Georgia game. I gave o plenty of credit for that win. Matter of fact, a lot of people that are considered "haters" gave him credit for that win.

The problem is, guys like you only want to focus on the posts that are critical of o.

Unfortunately I don't see LSU winning this game. LSU's run game is too weak while A&M's run defense is strong = bad matchup. LSU's passing game is too inconsistent.
A&M gets their first win vs LSU since joining the SEC.

LSU is in a great position with ED. No one is coming for him, his buyout is reasonable next year and he hasn't proven anything. No need to give him anything more.
Aranda is more important than O sad to say.

Unless the wheels come off at some point his buyout is irrelevant. He doesn't have to win the west to stay employed next year.

This is quite true. The Miles-haters rarely, if ever, gave him the credit for a win. It was always "he won with Saban's players" or "any old coach could win with LSU's talent." Oh, but when LSU lost, they blamed Miles 100 percent.

Not at all. We have a much better team. There's no excuse for losing this game. None. We still have an outside shot at playoffs for goodness sake.

Wtf is wrong with expecting the head coach to have his team ready to play and expecting us to beat an inferior team?

is the narrative now that aggy has as much talent as we do? Just trying to understand the fear so many of you have of this game. No way should we lose tonight.
