This has been a very good season regardless of what happens tonight

I am not throwing in the towel or anything, as a matter of fact I had a premonition we were going to win the national championship but lose one game in the bracket. I assumed it would be first game of the final two in the winners bracket but I can still be correct.
That said, I hate we didn’t win the SEC but even if we lose tonight or tomorrow, going to Omaha and coming in number 3 in the country when you lose 2 of your 3 best pitchers to injury early in the season is a great feat and something all Tiger fans can be proud of this year.
So win or lose, (winning is a whole lot better) , but regardless it’s clear that LSU baseball is back where it should be and the future is extremely bright for us. Everyone wants to be a Tiger again. It’s a great time to be a Tiger fan again. My LSU flag is flying high in Mobile. Geaux Tigers !

Hell yeah! Final 4 in year two.

100% a successful year.
Lost several key arms and still:
- National seed
- Swept regional and super regional
- Knocked UT out of Omaha and at worst 2-2 in Omaha
Great year.

We are also playing our best ball at the right time of the year.
Really don’t care about the SEC tourney. It’s fairly meaningless most years.

Don't see how anybody can complain about this year especially with the arms the Tigers lost before and during the season.
50 wins...2 wins at Omaha and still playing for a title.

Knocking Tenner out 5-0 with one of their ace pitchers going against a guy we have barely been able to use all year was Lagniappe. Watching Dylan Crews end all hope of them with that massive home run in the 9th was extra Lagniappe.

To me, the biggest positive from this year is how the pitching staff turned it around in the postseason. Even the best hitters go hot/cold. To have the bullpen step up like hey have since the first regional is truly impressive from both them and the coaches.

quote:To me it's being a frickstick presenting this like it's even a question. In what world would a final 4 appearance NOT BE a very good season? Has there ever been a CBB team so utterly and clearly dominant from Day 1, that anything less than a title wouldn't be "very good"?
Don’t be a frickstick
I watched this board melt all season, completely losing the forest for the trees. This is just another version of that stupidity. LSU fields an elite team and is getting elite results - very good, if you will.

Agreed but really don’t want Florida to be national champs again.

Holy shite, my premonition is coming true. (I am kinda psychic)
How the hell did they put that game together? That’s freaking unreal. Did I mention my vision we beat Florida in 2 games? Lol

Pretty sure my premonition is coming true now. That was freaking unreal

Ok I was off by one game but still right overall. I had a great feeling about all this which for once was correct.
Great season, Geaux Tigers’
