This is a moronic take. Are NFL teams weak for wanting a 1 seed? Playing the top competition in every game leaves no margin for error and wears down your players.

It's my recollection that rat poison refers to publicity, media, and local talk that makes the players feel too good about themselves; makes them not work as hard; makes them less hungry.
