I am an old "get off my lawn" guy, and I first got season tickets in 1961. Not one into numbers, but LSU has had every type of HC imaginable & fired every type of those HC's. Each was torched & verbally abused before getting fired. But I have never seen the out right hate for any of those coaches that ranters here feel for Coach O. And it is hate, no matter how it is cloaked. Want to know who was a horrible HC? Curley Hallman. And he was never treated this way & he was bad beyond belief, both as a person & a HC. Stovall ended up being bad. DiNardo. Archer. None were vilified like Coach O. Ranters hold Troy against him. Saban lost to ULM. At home. Before he became a god.
I haven’t had my season tickets as long as you, but am a get off my lawn guy as well.
I firmly believe that Chancellor Emmert and Saban set expectations and a formula for success at LSU. Les was competent in carrying on the expectation including a perfect regular season which hadn’t happened since the 50’s.
College football has surpassed the NFL in success IMO and he media options today allows for some to be heard versus our day of calling or writing letters. It’s an instant satisfaction world today and more isnunder the microscope because if it all with the ability to rewatch plays and games within both during and after.
The fans were promised a sports car and got a Yugo.
Expectations are not the same when you’re making 3-7 MM per year like he old days. Secondly, Orgeron was not as qualified as some of the available mid - level younger coaches. He proved to be a bad head coach in his only other opportunity to bring in his own players, go through spring and fall with them and in game coach. He doesn’t have either offensive or defensive coordinator skills. He wasn’t offered or considered for at head job during his times of unemployment.
Then there was Alleva’s statement that “he was the search committee” to satisfy the politicians and eventually take the fall. He is a weasel and everyone in college sports knows it. Blame the former Governor, present Governor, BOS and Alexander. They interferes with the decision by pressuring Alleva instead of runnjng the AD like a business that it is.

Let’s be honest, les almost blew it to Troy twice before this year. He played down to his comepetion multiple times. He lost to miss state also
Twice? And he lost to state once. And it wasn’t a historical upset.

So you would consider what we've done so far a total failure? 8-3 isn't gold but you're assessment of CEO to this point simply makes you look like a poor loser. If he was a "worse" coach...we'd have a losing record right now.
No. He’s a worse coach. Only idiots can’t admit it.

HOW many times did les lose to
Arkansas?
Arkansas?

I think he was 6-5 against Arkansas.

See...no logic behind your post at all.
Just a babbling idiot who sees what he wants to see.

Thank you, with the talent lsu I put in the nfl the past years, that’s unacceptable. We should give our new coach a chance to see how his qbs turn out. Or a chance to replace the bunch of guys that transferred. I’ve felt better about our offense the last year and a half under orgeron than I did the past few years under les. Orgeron has had two offensive coordinators in two years and both years our offense got better. I don’t dislike les at all! I
Just want to support whoever we have.

Eh no
I hink He has done enough to get another season and isn’t gonna be fired either way.
But I dont Think beating a middling A&M makes me feel too much better about him.

You go frick yourself. You refuse to listen to logic. Go suck off O and jack off to the Troy loss.

The funny thing is people forget how good Arkansas was good in 2006 (LSU WON); 2010 ( Arky won); and 2011 ( LSU won - Arky lost 2 games that year to put it into perspective); then Petrino gets fired.
It took Fat Bert to come in 2013 to change how they played which was a lot like LSU. They had good recruits.

No next season should be the deciding factor. Go 10-2 in the regular season with that schedule and I think we will be just fine with the hire.
What the frick? Why did we get rid of Miles if 10-2 is OK? 10-2 most likely doesn't win the division, which means not winning the conference, and not in the playoffs. When do we start expecting to compete for championships again?

Blown out by State and lost to Troy in a down SEC? Yea, this season is basically a failure.

we could've done much better than orgeron, but as long as we can pay for top notch coordinators we'll be ok as long as 0 stays out of the way.

Miles had’nt won 10 games since 2013 won 2 SEC championships and never made the playoffs in 11 years at LSU but Ogeron has to win an SEC title his first and every year for you to consider him not a failure. Lmfao typical Rant logic.

Nobody said that.
But he needs to win 2 over the next four years to be compared to Miles.
And one of those years better come with a NC or he’s out.
He’ll get my support from here on out with a win tomorrow.

He lost to Troy at home. Got smashed by Mississippi state. He could beat a and m by 50 and would not gain my support.

Yes that’s exactly what Lunchbox said. And no he doesn’t have to win 2 in 4 years, Miles didn’t do that. Miles won 2 out of his first 7 seasons inheriting a better program so why does O need to win a twice as high a rate to be compared to Miles? Look I’m not sold on Ogeron not by a long shot but constantly attacking him by using double standards like a lot of these people do is insane. If he wins 10 this year that’ll be the first time LSU has done that in 4 years that’s improving nomatter how people wanna spin it. Now he needs to retain Canada he needs to recruit at a high level and we need to see if Brennan pans out and if so where that takes us. It’s his first season and he’ll probly win 10 games, how many other coaches in LSU history have done that?

How much do they pay you as an alter who spends all day shitting on LSU? You’re obvious not an LSU fan, you hate when we win and you don’t know much about LSU football. Anyone can see you’re an alter planted here to spew vitriol about the Tigers and anyone who supports them.
