This ABS is gonna prove the new style of catching is more shite than we even thought

The idea of catchers starting with the glove on the ground and scooping up to “steal strikes” has always been shite in my mind, especially with one knee on the ground.
Three for three on bottom of the zone, strike overturns now proves that the analytics suck starting with the glove at the ground and scooping up confuses the Umpires

It’s not a dead horse, it’ll come back around to the way it ought to be eventually maybe another 5, 10 years or so

Im all for ABS called straight to earplugs that the plate wears. He gotta be out there for everything else. Let balls and strikes be determined electronically.

We should have trashed that technique 3 years ago. We don't have professional catchers, they can't do it.

it basically defeats the purpose of framing.
