Can’t remember, I am old that shite happens, when I was this excited going into a season! We have a great defense per usual but also a lot of depth this year. Our offense without a doubt will be better this year, how much better will be the difference of going 12-0 “ok not probable but still a small possibility” or more like 11-1 and going 10-2 or 9-3.

But with what is going on with other teams it is sure looking more like 11-1. The reason I say that is two sides to the equation, if you are improved while others have taken a step back, just makes things a little clearer to grasp thoughts from.

6 of the 8 SEC teams we play their linebacker play will probably take a step back if the pundits are correct, that can only be good news for our offense!!

I think Eddie O and his fighting Tigers are going to shock the world this year, as much as a top ten ranked team pre season can that is!!!

So UptoPar

You must sit around to wait for a poster to post so you can tear it down

You didn’t add jack to what this fan posted but you smack it down just because

OP I agree with the up beat on this team and the down beat with UptoPar

We will be better at or as good as at every position WR OL TE QB RB / DL LB - LB is a tough call to say as good or better so close to as good - DB’s so to back-up on what I said ST’s - ???? No idea on kicking - So LBer and ST’s - wait and see but this is not a huge concern

9-3 would be a terrible year considering the schedule and experience coming back. 10-2 has to be the absolute floor this year.

I don’t share your enthusiasm, but I hope you’re right. If we go 11-1 or 12-0 I will jump on the Orgeron bandwagon. I just don’t see it happening.

I think it’s a real possibility that we lose to UT and then at least 2 more losses...Bama and UF or A&M.

Every year we get our hopes up and every year we get let down. I don’t think this year will be any different.

10-2 and another NY6 bowl is about the very best we can hope for.

9-3 and the Cap One bowl is more likely.

This isn’t true at all. Last year and the year before everyone thought LSU was headed for disaster until the auburn win both years. Even with a crap roster in 2017 where they pieced it together we had a good season. Last year we had the starting talent but not much depth and it showed. We lost some key players and it hurt us. We didn’t have a steady OL all year but the games that we did have them healthy we performed well.

We had the disadvantage of Burrow coming in brand new and just making things happen for the team to win. That’s all changed this season and I think we have a chance to beat everyone and anyone on the schedule. Of course bad games do happen but I think that’s why O brought in this HOF coach for support when things are good or bad to keep an even emotional state as a team. It’s easy to get complacent while doing good or bad.

If they can learn to just put in the work this offseason and into the season, even go the extra mile then this should be a special year. I can easily see 11-1 and that should be the expectation imo. It’s time to stop saying next year and do it now! Take full advantage of the talent and time we have now. Make sure the young guys carry on next year and load up with OTs and DLman in this class. We do those things while keeping what we now have then this staff will be well on their way and move way up the ranks of best CFB staffs. It would be so darn nice too. All the flack this staff has gotten, it would only be fitting. I will laugh my arse off too. All the so called know it all’s know jack shite.

I agree with everything else you said and it should be a good year given our talent. I have an honest question about your statement on the offense. What makes you say it will be better without a doubt?

It's the 3rd offense in as many seasons and the truth of the matter is that Coach O hasn't once in his career brought in an offensive coach and just let him run his system. Is that because they were bad hires and he felt he needed to step in? Possibly. Does Brady look like a great hire? Yes, but it's going to be a different dynamic with Brady designing and Ensminger calling the offense. It could be wildly successful, but I don't see where people are seeing this "without a doubt" improvement.

lolwut?

in 2017 we had guys like Guice, Etling, Chark, Clapp, Lacouture, and younger guys like Devin White and Lawrence who came into their own. that wasn't a crap roster.

That is an easy question to answer. We have a senior QB coming back that had a great season last year, his first at our school and in our system, and only got better as the season progressed. So making the assumption that he will even be better in his senior season is very reasonable to assume.

Next we have all of our production back except for our leading rusher last year, and with our stable of backs and incoming freshman that shouldn't be a hang up. We should get better production from our wr's & te's and I think we will have a better rushing year even without Nick B's 1,000 yds to count on.

Our line has more experience so it should be improved. And yes we have a new passing game coordinator, but we have the same OC.

I think our numbers are going to be better across the board, but that is what you should expect when your offensive unit has a year under it's belt.
