They struck fear before the game even started, tried to get both starting safeties suspended.

Cade seems used to being the fastest QB around. Perkins makes him seem slow. That last play Perkins comes all the way across from right side of the defense to the right side of the offense and Cade running right. Think he saw plenty of green then saw #7 and went "Oh shite"!! Play was over when he saw Perkins.

But definitely agree we haven’t seen a defense of this caliber since 2019 or before.

I think this defense is better than 2019. That defense had problems with the run most of the year. A lot of people were bitchin about aranda. The difference is the current defense has better d tackles and are deeper.

Yeah I never considered the 2019 defense as great. They gave up 343.5 yds/game and 21.86 ppg. Not even close to being one of our best defenses. Gave up a lot of big plays.

They were good enough and our offense was unstoppable.

The 2019 defense seemed to adjust really well as the game went on

We've definitely beaten this dead horse. Time to move on and Focus on 2-0!

None of us are playing, it doesn't matter what dead horses we beat or what we focus on.

The 2019 defense wasn't good. It was ok. We gave up 4+ YPC. I think we finished around 75th in total defense. That offense was the truth

19 defenses faced some tough tough offenses that year. Lincoln Riley’s Oklahoma , Alabama with Jeudy, Devonta smith , waddle , Riggs , Florida with Kyle Pitts, Texas. Come playoff team they were firing on all cylinders

I havent seen a defense that intimated opposing teams like this since maybe 2019, more realistically 2011.

People forget how good our defenses were in 2012 and 2014. Our Defense finished the season number 1 in the SEC in Pass Defense and Number 1 in Total Defense in 2014 and number 2 in Scoring Defense, we finished number 5 in the Country in scoring defense, number 3 in the country in passing defense, and number 9 in the country in total defense. 2014 we had a very good defense but had a terrible offense.

There was really 1 bad performance defensively in the regular season and that was due to Chavis not playing Beckwith and Auburn just torching us. After Beckwith started playing we became an elite defense. shite Bama was scared to run the ball with Beckwith in the game, Beckwith went out of the game at one point and thats when all they did was run the ball because DJ Welter couldn't hold up in run defense.

2012 finished 8th in total defense and 12th in the country in scoring defense. We had a very good defense in 2012. The loss to Bama derailed what could've been a redeemable season from how 2011 happened.

Right now this is the best defense since 2016. But we had a lot of good defenses that got ruined by what we were doing offensively. 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018. If it wasn't for that stupid 7 OT against The Aggies we have a top 15/top 10 scoring defense.
