losses to Georgia, Florida, and Alabama

Why do we think LSU will lose to UGA? I've seen a few people respond with that as a loss. Sure, it'll be a tough game, but UGA will likely be experiencing a fair amount of growing pains this season.

We play Bama and Ole Miss better away than we do at home.

If this team goes 9-3 the season will not be a success in my book. I am thinking 11-1 with 10-2 worst case scenario....we have too much experience, talent and coaching for 9-3.
Well get ready for some deep disappointment. This team is not, nor will it be a world beater this year. Mark it down, I said it here, the best the '09 LSU team will do this year is 9-3.

Noone on here has an utter clue what the best case scenario for this team is.

The only people that MAY know are those in TAF who get to go to the scrimmages. But there are too many players on this team that people have no idea how good or not that they are. Beginning with the QB.

Maybe the "post and run" guys are sneaking in from work for a few minutes and don't have the freaking time to sit around all day to discuss shite, or maybe don't have any desire to get into an ego driven pissing contest with high school/college professional message board geeks that don't have anything better to do than sit at a computer eight hours a day worrying about "post counts" and trying to "look cool" by calling out posters. ............

If they have time to sit and read these threads they should have time to back up what they say. Talking negativly or positivly about somethiing/someone without evidence is just plain stupid and contributes nothing to the thread. Why bother typing anything at all if they don't have time to type their full thought.

+1 on the thought of 10 of last 13 at bama

My concern is that Bama was on probation a lot of that time and Satan/saban hasn't had a chance to chap off the whole team (ie at the time of the iowa game) or take some more money from another program yet. So for now, they have a pretty good program at least better than in the past 13 years.

I think we beat Bama. UGA is my concern, just haven't played well there.

Georgia also returns an offensive line that will be dominant this year after being injured the last few. The dropoff from losing Stafford and Moreno won't be that great. On top of that, this will be JJ's fourth full game against an SEC team and the first against one of the top-tier ones.

Their OL won't be "dominant" and there could be huge dropoffs at both positions. Cox should be solid, but he can't make the throws Stafford made (which hurts a speed receiver like Green). And Moreno is MUCH better than Caleb King, if King is their starting TB. Moreno made chicken salad out of chicken shite considering the blocking that he got.

Too much "woe is us" on this thread.

You are dumb. Were good but not that good. I can see 9-3. LSU's schedule is hard too.

i've seen a lot of comments about when I became an LSU fan...well, it was 1985! at age 8!!! I have lived through the archer, curley and dinardo era...i am not a 2003 bandwagon jumper! I have seen it all, guys....if you think LSU is ONLY going to go 9-3 this year, why will you even watch them??? the goal at LSU is to win championships. our coaches have said that the bar is set at a championship level!

All the guys saying next year is the year.......What do you base that on??? We lose 12 senior starters (7 defense, 5 offense) after 2009 plus other 5-6 seniors that will rotate into the starting lineup on a week to week basis. I know our qb's will be juniors in 2010 but we have to replace alot everywhere else. I think with the seniors we have on this 2009 team, this is our chance to make a run at an SEC title.

Miles should be on "the hot seat"? Nick Saban for instance has NEVER had teams that won 10 or more games in consecutive seasons. Not at Mich St. not at LSU and not as of yet in Bama, look it up. Had Miles not had to kick RP off the team last year I am convinced Miles would be going for his 5th 10+ win season in a row! So of course, we gotta get rid of this terrible guy! Sheesh.

Agreed.. I think this year is our best chance to make noise..

Compared to last year.. Bama, Ole Miss, and Georgia are down.. We are up..
All three of those games are winnable.. LSU is fully capable of winning those.. It just depends on how the game goes.. And most likely we won't get the bounces in all of them..

Florida is the only thing (talent wise) keeping us from a national championship..

That said..
Rationally.. 9-3 is a good season.. especially when taking last year into account..

As a diehard fan.. I too would be dissapointed with anything less than 10-3 or 11-2 and a sugar/bcs bowl.. but that's based purely on emotion.. not on the facts and question marks that this team presents.

Not only do we lose a ton of senior leadership, but our ooc schedule includes North Carolina, West Varginia and Southern Miss along with road trips to Florida, Auburn and Arkansas and Tennessee comes back on the schedule. The schedule looks harder to me and we will be replacing most of our defense.
