I don't think I've ever heard anyone say L-A tech.
I also noticed on their board the other day that they constantly refer to us as LA State. I think it's supposed to be some sort of slight.

Louisiana Tech is the name. Tech short. LaTech is used for Athletics.
Personlly i dont know why they care so much about how its pronounced. Since its a state abbreviation, L-A is fine. Just as Georgia is G-A, or florida is F-L. Nobody pronounces those out. “Lah”Tech just rolls off the tongue better. But its not as big of a deal as they make it.

Well, people on this board freak out over the most trivial shite. I remember some years back a guy freaking out over Brando(?) referring to LSU as "Louisiana State". You just never know with a fan base that in a perpetual state of rustlement.
