There was a time when the opponent’s hotel would be loud all night before a game

And people would ring player’s rooms and set off the fire alarm at 4 am and set off stink bombs in the air vents the night before games. And other disreputable and unseemly acts of poor sportsmanship that shock the conscience.
Thank God we aren’t savage like that anymore, right ? That was absolutely disrespectful and a bad reflection on everything we believe in. Thank God that kind of thing never occurs anymore. I know I feel better.

You're right, we are so much better now. In fact, someone should tell me where Bama is staying next week. I will personally stand guard to ensure those scholar athletes get the rest and peace they deserve.
