I mean, even IF it was true, all participants were consenting adults. It’s not like they would have been breaking any laws.

Wouldn’t care if they did. All involved are adults and anyone trying to play “morality police” would probably be better off looking in the mirror as there isn’t a person around who has never done something that others would find morally questionable.
