I would look silly asking that since we play two road games before we start SEC play.
You know what I meant, silly

No, I really don't know what you mean. Do you mean no weekend road games?

If so, I'm pretty sure I already know that answer: MONEY.

Ok well how about why hasn't LSU made the adjustment to the new bats when other SEC teams don't seem to be struggling with them.

Seriously it's early in the season...

Maybe this hiccup won't happen again.

Far too soon to pass judgement on this team or the coach.

Hopefully they can learn from this and move on to a very successful season.

Was it really the bats?
Easton did win you 6 national titles.
DeMarini sucks.

What's sad is Appl St was knocking balls off the wall and outhomered LSU this weekend.

I've been watching the scores of other SEC games, especially this past weekend, and other SEC schools are not scoring a lot of runs either with the occasional exception, just like LSU scored a lot of runs the first weekend.

See, I knew that you knew what I meant. Why is it that LSU doesn't play meaningful road games/series before the start of SEC? I would hardly consider traveling to Mcneese or Tulane meaningful road games. Yeah, I'm sure that $ is the reason, but it's not helping to prepare the team for SEC competition

It's not as much about runs as it is hitting the ball. Last year there were some teams that still hit with high averages and could still hit HR's.

Does anyone know if highschool players are using the same bats?

Are the hitters instructed to take the first pitch to get the pitch count up or is it just the preference of these players to watch so many first pitch fastballs to get a feel of timing?

I get the fact that we have to play all in-state schools and such, but with the talent pool in nearby Texas, I don't see why we can't make at least one road trip. 3 game set with TCU, UT, or Rice would draw a huge crowd, and they'd come to the Box the next year. Just a thought

Ask him why he hasn't corked the bats yet so we can watch gorilla ball.

Everyone 14 and up are swinging the new shitty bats. Also, 13 and under are swinging toned down 1.15 BPF bats. My nephews team had one game of 12 runs this weekend. The other 4 the winning team scored 6, much less than previous years.

Ask him about his motivation tactics before and during games and what he likes to do to help the general energy of his teams.

That's an interesting question. I'll try to work that one into the discussion.

That is good at least they won't have to adapt when they get to college.

If you can, ask him what the non conference schedule for next year is looking like.
