I bought tickets the the bama game last year south ez $100 each the day of the game. There were several tickets for sale, surprisingly.
So if there are tickets available for that game...

Even for like, say, Florida?
guess what: You can get free tickets for 5 out of the 7 games. Pay $100 for the A&M and UF game and it is still pretty cheap

The ONLY game I've ever seen (last 5 years) that there were next to 0 tickets available was that Arky game in 2011. I've never seen anything like that..it was weird
The Ark games always have a tendency to be goofy. I've decided it is because there are just more people who eat the tickets and don't even bother coming to campus on Thanksgiving than there normally are.
Also, its always a big "coming home" weekend for OOS Tiger fans, and those folks usually are going to pay higher prices for their one trip a year.
As has been said, tickets are cheap, and if you are really really strapped and/or cheap, you can work at it for about an hour and probably get into the game with a little extra cash in your pockets most of the time.

This will probably be the last year I buy my season ticket in the SEZ. I only have one, and only make a few games a year, driving from Texas. I sold mine this year, and got back everything except TAF fee, but I started thinking that by the time I pay TAF and the fee to have the seat its like $300 on top of the ticket price.
So when I come to the Florida game, I'll be buying one outside of the stadium, and hopefully when I bring my Aggie wife in Novemember I'll be able to find two so she can watch Johnny boy cry in Tiger Stadium

How about a simple vow? If you're not dedicated to watching the whole game then sell your ticket(s) before game day.

Within 30 minutes to kick off I'll be getting my A&M tickets for about $60 a pop at most.

RV Lots, and nicer tailgates. Don't waste time talking to the obvious scalpers, you want to get your tickets from people who are season ticket holders who just want their extra tickets off their hands so they can go into the game.
And obviously, the longer you wait, the cheaper the tickets. If you really want the market to bottom out, just wait till kickoff.

I had collected about 15 tickets during the lead up to the game.
I wanted a pair of East sideline tickets, and people would just hand me some and walk away without letting me tell them no (mostly upper deck tickets) .
I couldn't give away any of them myself.
