Alabama is very good and deserving of their number one ranking. I do believe however that one month from now they won't appear to be as dominant as they do now. Not saying we will beat them, or anyone for that matter, but the three hardest games on their schedule by far are coming up. They have beaten up on some very bad teams.

Florida was not as dominant as Alabama is today but I get your point.

I would actually argue that Florida WAS as dominant. Their defense wasn't as good but, their offense was DEFINITELY more explosive. Also, keep in mind, if I'm not mistaken when they played us in that game they had won 25 SEC games in a row. Everyone in the league EXCEPT Tennessee basically conceded they weren't going to beat them.....................even though we still had very good teams in the league then. The previous year, we'd lost to Florida by almost 50 pts. They were coming to Tiger stadium as the #1 team in the nation but, had not really been tested yet.....................very similar to this Alabama team. Again, I'm not saying we'll beat them but, if we do, or the game is close I won't be surprised. I've seen bigger upsets in my lifetime..........................

There isn't a single reason to believe that, at least compared to last year. In the 3 games post-Miles firing, LSU was averaging 8.6 yards per play. In the entire 2016 season pre-Bama, LSU was averaging 7 yards per play. In 2017, we're averaging 6.5 yards per play. In our 3 consecutive wins, we're averaging 6.7 yards per play. There is no reason to believe this offense is any better than the one that faced 2016 Alabama, at home no less.

Well, I'm not so sure about this either. If you're going to compare yard per play, yes.............it looks similar. But if you look at HOW those offenses move the ball, that's where the similarity ends. THIS LSU offense actually uses lots of misderection, shifts, deception etc..................not to mention they actually spread the ball around. So, even though yards per play may be similar, the challenge that THIS offense presents, is a much bigger challenge than the Les Miles offense. Again, I completely believe we'll move the ball on them. I'm just hoping that our defense can hold them to less than 21 pts. If so, I think we have a chance to win.

In 1993 LSU defeated Bama 17-14 at Ala, ending the defending NC 31 game winning streak. Our coach was Curley Hallman.

Tigers will win again.

The team we will play in two weeks is likely to dominate.
I cannot for the likes of me see any other outcome.
They are too darn good.

Exactly. The negativity of some of these "fans" is unbelievable. No wonder Tiger Stadium isn't like it used to be. Referencing the '97 Florida game, I can remember all wee nobody gave us a chance in that game and yet, Tiger Stadium was STILL packed and the loudest I've ever heard it. The guys on this board probably wouldn't even show up to Death Valley if this upcoming game is at home.
