I couldn't help it, when I saw you were here, well I knew I couldn't leave you out without hurting you gay feelings.

Fair enough...good post

Eta- Except I don't think O makes it to 2019 class..based on actual games.

Yeah. In your edit!

yeah because we should all be ok with seeing home grown talented ILB and DTs go to bama

#4 was a miss for sure
#5 was a longshot after Miles was let go
But yeah, totally sucks seeing those guys go to Bama. However, they filed Allen's spot with the #1 ILB in the NATION, so I'm cool with that.

Of course I'd rather see the top guys stay in state, but I don't want to just sign the entire top ten in the state just for the sake of it. And sometimes missing on an in state guy is a blessing. Surely you wouldn't rather Hootie Jones over Jamal Adams. And if we get Speedy Noil, we probably can't take DJ Chark. Who would you prefer?

Someone on the recruiting board, who claims to know one of his coaches, said every ligament in his knee (LCL, MCL, PCL, ACL). Obviously take that for what it's worth and nobody knows if all those ligaments were complete tears or partial.

Well I hope he gets broken off this year or he surprises us and gets this thing going. Worst case is a disaster season next year, he gets fired and the 2019 class falls apart.

I don't need to read any post. If you dip yourself to their level then you aren't much better.

Yep a single poster on a message board is responsible for our AD hiring Orgeron. Well thanks for the compliment. I had no idea I was so damn persuasive, especially here. I know I can be in other theatres but I'm mostly called a dumbass here, which is very ironic for this board lmao.

Carry on

Back to the OP . . .

You may be right (well, I'm not sure recruiting will prove to be the "worst" part but ok) but I don't think you can rightfully assess recruiting success simply based on the top-10 in LA.

For example, we signed Narcisse but not Kayteon Thompson. I don't think the plan was ever to sign both. Likewise, Stewart to UF. I don't think he was a priority with our haul of DB's.

Very fair. I know it's more complicated that just taking 10 guys.

But Its not a good look...I think that is obvious.

Yep. The silver lining (supposedly) in the O hire was that he would knock it out of the park in recruiting and especially so in LA. Hasn't happened.

I think O is a good recruiter - as a DL coach. But to my knowledge, he doesn't have a vision for LSU, a cemented football philosophy, or a system to recruit for. All prerequisites for a HC.

No worries baw.

Once we drop a few more games desperation will kick in for O and we will magically start flipping recruits.

This will be a Bama type haul when it's all said and done, if you catch my drift?

I laid out my worst case scenario earlier that Orgeron shits the bed next year and the 2019 class falls apart (It was never good to begin with), but you laid out the very real nightmare scenario.

Ya know that Les lost a lot of in-state talent to Bama every year he was here, don't you?
Or do you just hate O so much that you move your goal posts to satisfy you disgust of the hire.

I was sure wanting a different head coach than the 1 we got, but, I am willing to give him 2-3 years to implement the new offense & at least get past the "Les Miles" offensive inepitude that has stymied our recruiting.

I don't know him personally like you, so my disgust & hatred for the man is not quite as vitriol as yours.

Cheers & as always,

Idiot. You’re telling me no coaches would love the opportunity? Can’t determine since Alleva didn’t care.

not 3 of the top 5.

the irony in that post is glorious.

then take it up with O. he is the one that sold alleva on the fact that lsu didnt need to rebuild under him and we were gonna be a playoff team this year.

l

you know you've hired an unqualified coach when just posting facts about his coaching career is deemed hating him.

its not my opinion O has never had any success at any position above dline coach.
its not my oppion that tge only time o was allowed to make long term decisions it ended in the worst win % at a program full of tenures with shite win % numbers.
